Arrived quickly, but not worth the price. Not sure what I was expecting, but thought it would be better than this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great new addition, but naval combat a let down, 28 April 2014
I have reviewed the two previous Wargame titles and I guess I'll do the same thing here...its only fair. Red Dragon is the third in the series and while it has its flaws, its a welcome addition. Red Dragon is set in Asia (as opposed to Europe) and as such adds several new factions (China, Japan, North & South Korea as well as the ANZACs) and adds new units to the previous factions, such as the Challenger 2 MBT for Britain and Leclerc tank for France. Gameplay is much the same, though the campaign has been improved over Air Land Battle. For example, campaign battles are now 20 rather than 10 minutes in length and the narrator has returned.
Online multiplayer is what most people focus on though and "this is where the fun is at".

The games big selling point, naval combat, is a bit like marmite...you like it or hate it. It is restricted though in terms of unit and maps.

The Chinese are under powered while the French, USA and the USSR are power houses (don't choose to fight with units from Japan and expect to win a skirmish battle against the Soviets), however constant balancing updates change this on a regular basis so this may have changed by the time you read this : ).

Well worth a look, but if you own the other two you may want to wait for a while until its on sale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 19 Sep 2013

I upgraded from the Sapphire 7750 after internet reviews claiming this card was by far better. I'd say its a close call, but I have noticed some improvement. For example, Total War Shogun 2 Fall of the Samurai now runs on mostly "Ultra" settings as opposed to "Ultra/High" mix with the 7750. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 runs smoothly on high settings also (I let the COD Black Ops software auto-select the best settings and it seemed happy to run with mostly top selections). The Guru software that the card came with (for overclocking) didn't run and so downloaded MSI Afterburner instead...so far this is my only gripe.

All in all a card worth the money. On a side note if you google the reviews for this card there was a review which stated the GTX650 is "years old", I think this is a blogger mis-identifying the card as an older product as the GTX650 is quite new if you look on the release dates.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb re-design of Rome TW, 5 Sep 2013

Had to in the end buy this through Steam as the disk was showing an error. That, in my opinion, does not reflect badly on the game as these things happen. Rome 2 is a superb game that brings the Roman Empire back to life. The diplomacy and technology trees have been improved over previous games and do take some getting used to, as too does the new recruitment and construction methods (Generals muster from local populace to raise an army rather than units being recruited in cities). Based on the one star reviews it seems people were expecting miracles, there is only so much a game of this scope can provide. There will always be something that someone will want more of or will have expected to be better, sadly nobody can please everybody. STEAM IS REQUIRED FOR THIS GAME, IT STATES THIS ON THE CASE SO DON'T WHINE WHEN YOU BUY IT AND FIND YOU NEED STEAM!!!
I run a Sapphire 7750 1GB Graphics Card with 7.2gb of DDR3 RAM and this game runs on "High" and "Ultra High" settings (though water is set to medium)so this should give you a clue about the demands placed on your PC but it runs very smoothly on these settings.
