Very good live album. Saw him in Edinburgh in a small club and this is more or less the same "set". His guitar playing and arrangements are excellent. Bought the Secret Handshake and that is a marvellous record too. Mostly old blues songs with the great "Blind Lemon" composed by himself. His voice may sound a bit forced and strident for some, but I don't think so. Albums from the 60's with Jim Kweskin etc, he suffered from his association with Maria because everyone knows "Midnight at the Oasis" and would say Oh Maria's husband I would imagine. Also "disappeared" on a lost weekend. He looks like a Harvard tutor and indeed I suppose he is a student of the blues like a lot of those 60's white boys. He looks a grumpy cuss but his music is wonderful.
