5.0 out of 5 stars A very individual view of the story of Christ's mother ..., 19 Feb. 2015

This review is from: The Testament of Mary (Paperback)
A very individual view of the story of Christ's mother. Her detachment is the strangest and least believable feature but seeing the story distorted in this way is challenging and yet not persuasive. I cannot see it changing anyone's beliefs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for budding writers - and readers, 16 Dec. 2011
This small book contains quite "adult" words, despite its target audience. Sensible choice by the publishers as all definitions are matter-of-fact and thus satisfy curiosity. My 7 year old grandson loves it - that's the acid test.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quentin Letts Rip, 3 Dec. 2009
Although disagreeing with some of those selected, the wit with which they are lambasted had me laughing out loud on occasion, and quietly chuckling most of the time. To add to the list a further 5 was a full 10% bonus at no extra cost. I could not help wondering how some of his victims would feel - the deliciously wicked mental picture of Tony Blair choking in anger added a further frisson. As I also bought Mr. Letts' follow-up volume, "Bog Standard Britain", I am sure that I am in for yet more enjoyment.
