5.0 out of 5 stars JUST FANTASTIC!!, 12 Dec 2013
Finally, finally this wonderful band and artist are getting the recognition they deserve.
I've been attending live Wilko (& Norman) shows for about 30 years and I've seen him play so many crummy pubs in front of 80 people and think "why isn't this band playing bigger venues??"
Well this dvd filmed in front of a crowd of 1500 people is a great testament to a live Wilko gig.
The raw energy and emotion are captured very well, it sounds great (especially played LOUD!)
I will treasure this dvd and I know I'll return to it again and again in years to come.
Best live band I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot.
5 stars.
Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, 6 Oct 2012
For me this is a fantastic dvd.
Great songs, great performance & sounds great in 5.1 (love the sound of the double bass thumping away!)
Maybe Rob can't screech like he used to but maybe that's not such a bad thing either!
('Painkiller' is amazing in it's raw brutality, imagine shredding your throat like that night after night!)
Tipton & Downing must have a telepathic knowledge of each other by now, 'Victim of Changes' is just astounding.
Even Ian Hill looks like he's enjoying himself!
Buy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars the best live band you'll ever see, 5 Mar 2010
I agree with everything written above by the previous reviewer, I'll just add that vol 1 and vol 2 have some re-recorded tracks by the current line-up including the updated version of 'Paradise' which is possibly the greatest riff of all time, brilliantly simple and simply brilliant!
Don't go to your grave without seeing Wilko in concert, they are the greatest live band on the planet BAR NONE!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find, but worth the effort..., 2 July 2003
This review is from: Barbed Wire Blues (Audio CD)
This album seems to be almost impossible to find now, but if you are a Wilko fan or just want to hear what the fuss is about, this is the best studio album by Wilko and the boys. As a live act, this band is simply dynamite, and this album is the closet to capturing the "live" energy that the band have. If you can get a copy, and you are a Wilko or Dr.Feelgood fan, BUY IT, you won't be disappointed. The songs and band performance are top quality and Norman Watt-Roy IS the BEST bassist in the world. Listen to this and decide for yourself!
