4.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper than a tree surgeon!, 15 Nov 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I can definitely recommend this pole saw, it was simple enough to set up and the video guides helped on how to fit the chain etc. The manual could be better however. The saw itself is really good at pruning back thick branches and makes quick work on small trees. The reach is excellent for taking the height off taller trees/branches. It also did a good job off cutting all trimmed branches to small enough pieces for the organic waste wheelie bin. The only problem I had with it. is that the plastic blade guard has cracked and pieces broken off in the corner, so it is now prone to pulling smaller branches through as it cuts, which in turn, causes the chain to come off and require stripping down, putting chain back on. I don't think it's possible to get this as a spare part either.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth watching, 15 Nov 2014
As gory and corny as the other Reanimator fliicks, nice use of old school special effects rather than CGI. Certainly more worthwhile than many recent horror movies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Last resort when other traps have failed, 23 July 2010
I thought I would try glue traps as poison trays have never been touched and snap traps we're effective at first but the mice have evolved to be smart enough to take the bait without setting off the trap!!

Within 3 days of having the glue traps down I have managed to catch one! Glue traps are definitely worth a shot if you're having no luck with other traps. As long as you check glue traps regularly and dispatch of the mice humanely then I don't see a problem.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a listen, 25 May 2010

I liked Shadowy Men's "Savvy Show Stoppers" album a lot so thought I would give this CD a try.

There are quite a lot of short intro/interlude tracks (between 10 and 60 seconds), which are ok but they detract too much from the flow of the other tunes. The tracks that stand out for me are Three Piece Suit, Spy School Graduation Theme and 13 (Untitled Track).

If you don't have any of Shadowy Men's material, I'd definitely go for "Savvy Show Stoppers" as opposed to this but overall its a good listening experience and worth a listen.

An insight into the hidden world of players. Neil Strauss's adventure from nerd to pick up artist is documented from a first person point of view which proves an enjoyable read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hit and miss, 8 Aug 2009
There are some classic sketches on this DVD, but once you've watched it through once or twice the humour dissipates and you're left with something you won't watch again.

This series is definately better than the 2nd, so if you are planning to buy one get this.

Cheesy lyrics, forgettable songs, nothing stands out here...

Don't bother with this one unless you have got money to burn!

1.0 out of 5 stars The harmonies dont work, 8 Aug 2009
This review is from: Infrared Riding Hood (Audio CD)
I'm a fan of TAD's other albums but this one disappoints....

I've read reviews about this album, and how this essentially was the downfall of the mighty TAD. Obviously I had to listen to it myself and come to my own conclusions.

Some nice heavy riffs and growling vocals, but too many times Tad Doyle is trying to sing harmonies which just don't work. He's not a talented singer which just causes those parts of the tracks to fall flat. Also the lyrical content sounds forced and doesn't have as much impact as earlier stuff.

I wouldn't bother with this one as after two plays through the listenability has gone and it is now in my CD rack set to gather dust.

Spend your money on 8 Way Santa or Inhaler!
