An excellent read bringing the plight of children who are stolen to our attension rightly so, they are often sold into slavery or as prospective brides in remote communities their families often never find out what happened to them, sometimes the family sells their own child because of poverty the local police are quite often involved in this illegal trade, people need to be aware of what is going on and join the fight to stop it..

I could relate to Eric Lomax as my father was an ex F.E.P.O.W. Some of the experiences he suffered were the same as my father, s experiences, my dad was a labourer on the actual railway and was involved in the building of the bridge over the river Kwye he too suffered mentally as a result of his experiences, unlike Eric he was never able to forgive he hated the Japanese until the day he died .Eric was fortunate to be able to find closure by becoming friends with one of his former torturers and lucky to find a Japanese who recognised the collective guilt of their war crimes very few Japanese have ever admitted their guilt.

5.0 out of 5 stars The forgotten sister Mary Bennet"s Pride and Prejudice Jennifer Paynter, 30 Jan. 2014

Jennifer Paynter has done a good job of writing Mary, s story in pride and prejudice she has painted a picture of Mary as a young Georgian lady and how girls behaved then according to what was expected of young women at the time. Also she showed how difficult it was for a young lady at that time to marry outside of her class, with the prejudices surrounding doing so.

A good story giving a lot of insight into parents caring for a child with serious heath problems and how they may not agree on the childes treatment also the agony of a child going missing and how the parents deal with that when the chid is at risk from a health problem the author showed how the tensions between parents who are divorced affect how people react to those circumstances.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy Helen Fielding, 14 Jan. 2014

A good follow on to the original Bridget Jones rom coms, With a serious side to it about her coming to terms with widowhood and helping her children to adjust to being without their father some very funny comic bits and some hilarious scenes, definitely up to Helen Fieldings usual standard.
