4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Album, Reminds you why you like them., 9 Nov. 2009
This is a return to form album from a band who have realised experimenting with who they are and what they are dosent work. Its a very good album, one i will hold high in regard after 60 plus listens and not based on a "new album, best in the world review"

Don't expect Reign or Seasons from this, theres enough similarity from all their albums here. Taking what I consider the best parts of the back catalogue and refreshing the sound this is a good one. The direction (lets face it) is not new and goes just to show, yes this is Slayer and they do it better than any of the other big three up there, consistant and something new to keep you listening. There is enough to keep you interested and enjoy.

Heads up to Toms' Vocal range on here, intense and directed, not bad for an old man at all. The guitar riffs from both Jeff and Kerry are spot on, though the solos' are to be desired on some songs, silly notes stretched and played for no other reason, I didnt hear the switching of good notes between either guitarists, not like the older stuff when the hair stood up and wow factor came into play, Do they like punk by any chance?. Dave Lombardo can do better as i thought he was just going along with it, as opposed to putting in what he can, ferocity and innovation. Did he even break a sweat? I dont think so.

The down side is some of the guitar solo's are un-needed and do sometimes make you wonder why? I havent heard anything to inform me that Dave Lombardo is up to his best as the drums can sometimes be drowned out by the guitars, a shame really because he is a damned good drummer.

Its a new Slayer album and it's their sound, go and buy it, enjoy it, and remember why you like thrash. Ive heard Magnetic and Endgame, and can honestly say I prefer this attempt over the others.

4.0 out of 5 stars Need something with easy of use?, 15 Mar. 2009
This was bought when my Microsoft optical trackball broke, you can't buy them no more so i had to find a like minded product. I've never liked using mice as i do a lot of things on the computer so needed something easy and reliable, I found trackballs offer this. When I saw this I didnt want to buy it due to there not beaing a forward or back button for the internet, this didnt matter as you can use the web page itself for this function.

The trackball is solid and hsa had a few bashes and crashes, but it still works regardless. When purchased i thought I'd buy it wireless. Im really glad i did as it is a very good piece of kit to have. It may take a while to get used to but worth it, in fact i have comverted many people to using it. They bought this product and are still happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not needed if you know the way, 15 Mar. 2009
When i purchased the Tom Tom Rider I thought, now I can go everywhere, This thing will take you every where. You can customise it no end. If you want to use this to go on a jolly jaunt, just go and when you ready to go home just hit Home. The thing would like you to use each and every motorway, but you can alter the course with a few simple taps (tis' touchscreen see!) Theres enough leads and stuff that come with it, so not a problem having to buy extras. The Mount with it it is suitable but there are no instructions on putting it together (just diagrams) Based on your bike it may vibrate and move. The headset is real good and makes the price justifiable, it is loud enough and clear, however i do find sometimes that the begining of the voice starts very quiet and then goes to the normal setting, whether this is a setting i turned on i,dont know but it helps when following instructions and not having a voice bellowing at you when your riding, which could startle you I recon.

Cons: The update was not accurate I "found" updates elsewhere and they were a hell of a lot better than TT's own. It's a bugger to carry round even with the case, I wanted a bike to get on and then go, but this only adds to the time you get going (less you have a secure garage) and the ammount you carry around with you.

Its a good peice of kit to have, but you only really need it when you go off anywhere, all it is is a bog standard Tom Tom with a reinforced case with a load of biker friendly stuff in it, the Mount, TomTom and headset make this worth every penny, you see its these items which define the price and not just the TomTom unit itself so dont be put off by the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricey but worth every penney, 14 Feb. 2009
The cost may be high but what you get in the box is well worth the asking price. The Cardo BT headset is simple and very good, just be careful you dont rip your ear off when placing the headphone into the helmet as it is velcro stuck onto a small pad (Your patch area will negate this issue). the Tom Tom itself is bigger than I thought it would be for a motorcycle and fits nicely on the handle bars. Because the RAM mount is ball jointed you can swivel it around to suit your bike (I've tried it on 3 bikes and it offered good viewing and flexibility)

Setting up the Tom Tom is easy, plug it into the pc, update and off you go. I actually used it straight away and it has so far saved me time and money (fuel wise) and i have discovered some nice little back roads to use to get to A quicker!!

The Tom Tom's case is Aliminium and it feels sturdy, i have Biking friends and they all agree its a innovative Mount and are familiar with the general Tom Tom systems.

The reason I gave it a 4 was because the time it warns you about speed cameras is a little slow, For example I was cruising along and then I got the sound telling me I was near a speed camera. I noticed I was practically under the thing, but enough time to slow down, Then another time i was quite a distance away and the warning had stopped while i was going through it. It's a real shame you can't adjust the distance for them.

Honestly the price is high but you get a load for it, Tom Tom Rider, RAM mount and the Cardo Scala Bluetooth set (cables include, bike battery charger / power lead, mains charger lead, uk euro american adapters inc. Carry case, safety strap from mount to Tom Tom. I noticed there were a load of bolts spare for alternative mount fixtures also. look at th emanual for instructions they are easy to understand.
