5.0 out of 5 stars HOYA UV filter, 28 April 2011
Fits perfectly on my Sigma 50mm f1.4
Low profile and interference with the lens is not noticeable.
Always buy something to protect your very expensive lenses and make sure to buy quality!
I will start to build my collection of filters with the next lens purchase.

Can't fault this card. I have only had it for a short while after bulk buying for a present.
Use it in my partners Canon 550dslr and she just keep on snapping at full res. She has had no complaints.

Good for the money and good for the speed.
Thumbs up!!

This lens is excellent! I bought it with the Canon 550d slr as a present for my partner and it was the first lens she used on the camera.
The quality of light this lens picks up is simply amazing, especially after using a compact for the past few years. We were simply messing about indoors with low light and no tripod but managed to take beautifully lit photographs without any distortion.
The issues mentioned regarding autofocus is partially true but then you should never truly rely on the machine to take the picture for you.
I would recommend this lens to everyone. Next purchase will be a 70-200mm

Drawing: The Motive Force of Architecture (Architectural Design Primer)
Drawing: The Motive Force of Architecture (Architectural Design Primer)
by Peter Cook
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Drawing, a lost art, 10 Jan 2011
Taking from his contemporaries and a few more recent "artists," Cook provides in this book is a good example of hand drawn architectural representation. The book contains examples of digital art interspersed with the hand drawn/painted/airbrushed representations following the trend to shy away from physical drawings with a corresponding move towards digital media.
The book is well written, highly enjoyable and illustrated well.
A good book to have to hand on the shelf as with all Cook's work.

It seems that drawing in the true sense is becoming a lost art in the "profession" of architecture.

Zippo Handwarmer - Chrome

4.0 out of 5 stars Zippo Hand warmer, 10 Jan 2011
This review is from: Zippo Handwarmer (Sports)
The Zippo Hand warmer is fantastic. The flameless system works a treat and as long as you prepare the necessary volume of lighter fluid you can control the burn time fairly accurately. I was a little confused as to the viability of the catalytic heat but it is HOT, much more so than the old charcoal system I used years ago. No blowing into the end to keep the oxygen flowing. It can sit in the bag and just keeps going.
Highly recommend!!
Used for the morning trips to work on the bike and has greatly improved the trip...
