5.0 out of 5 stars the revenge of the shaker....., 15 Mar 2011
This review is from: Pilgrims Progress (Audio CD)
For some reason it seems cool to dismiss this band.
I've always liked them since day one, summer tunes in 96...real guitar music with a nod to the 60's era whilst being new.
Move forward to this 2nd album since reformation and I was blown away.
Strangefolk was hinting at what was to come and this is truly magical
every song is classic and it just grows and grows,i can't stop listening to it.
I like it that much I downloaded it and ordered the vinyl...
don't listen to the bad reviews this is an amazing return of Kula Shaker...
In the days of X factor music like this is never appreciated but I for one and listening loud and clear
Well done guys

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic, 16 Jun 2010

Well....
where to start, having seen them recently in Aberdeen I couldn't wait for this release.
Having enjoyed the farewell note to Paul Hester in Time on Earth the boys have returned again with an absolute classic.
I've heard it about 5 times now and it just gets better and better, fantastic playing by all-even the artwork is top notch

I love the fact it's around 40minutes long...gorgeous lyrics - music and bang to the point.
I listened to Revolver by the Beatles this morning and then stuck this on.....mind blowing, forget Oasis and the pretenders - if the Beatles were still creating music today - it's hard to see how they could even match Mr Finn on this form.
Now I must go and grow my moustache in tribute.
Get this right away

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, 3 Aug 2009
Having spent most of my childhood golfing and visiting St.Andrews on holidays I was very interested to get hold of and read this book.
I couldn't put it down it was that good and finished it in little over 2 days.
A great piece of history well written and holds your attention
it really felt like going back in time to the time of the Morris's defeating all on the links...truly amazing
well done Kevin Cook
buy this and enjoy !
