Legendary performance Nicholas Cage, 28 Oct 2005
One of the great mysteries to me in the movie industry is how come that this early work starring Nicholas Cage has not made it to cult status yet - as have many movies in the Hilarious Horror Parody genre.
The story line is too absurd to even bother, but the actor performances are stellar. Especially young Nicholas Cage is legendary in the scene where he argues with his secretary what is so difficult about the alfabet. This should be a standard scene in all performance art classes.
Cage is outward brilliant throughout the movie, for the intensity and conviction with which he plays this overtly absurd character. Vampire's kiss is a true gem for Cage fans, and at the very least a mildly amusing spectacle for all others.
