Differentiation Selling - A Practical Guide to Selling Services and Solutions in Competitive Markets
Differentiation Selling - A Practical Guide to Selling Services and Solutions in Competitive Markets

1.0 out of 5 stars one simple pointless idea repeated ad nausem, 7 Feb 2014

Let me save you a load of time and money. Ask your client questions about how they get to their current position and what theyre going to do about it next rather than talk about your services. There you go. I just saved you buying this book and reading that line repeated time after time over 70 pages.

Thats all this book is. It does include a handy bibliography of unrelated and unreferenced material at the end of the book though in case you had any interest in what Rene reads at the weekend. Suffice to say, Id advise you steer well clear of this rubbish.

2.0 out of 5 stars utterly horrid - avoid, 10 Jan 2014

I ordered this keyboard for our office to plug in to laptops and use when office bound. I expected a standard keyboard with a professional feeling keys, the kind you'd get with a new PC. Its hard to get a keyboard so wrong, but Microsoft have managed it. The keys are so mushy with no feel at all. The alphanumerics are visibly just stickers on the keys. Its got a weird rough feel all over, like micro asphalt that makes it feel like the cheapest keyboard on the planet.

I guess you get what you pay for. I sent ours back and decided to pay a bit more to get the kind of simple quality you would expect with a new PC.

2.0 out of 5 stars inadequate for business use, 6 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
We bought these for office use, but had to return them first day. They dont tilt hardly at all, so on a desktop, they are useless if you want to try to angle to screen to you. As a couple of people have mentioned, you can put them on books or potentially mount them on an arm, but thats not effective for us and pointless with a new monitor. One of ours also had badly attached monitor sockets on the back too.

I wouldnt recommend these unless theyre wall/arm mounted.

3.0 out of 5 stars It works but the socks aren't a good design., 6 Sep 2013
I've got large feet (UK men's size 12) and what I didn't realise is that the sock comes in a sealed plastic outer sheath. It's obviously designed for quite small feet, so if you have big feet like me this product isn't great as the plastic bag makes your feet scrunch up and the chemicals then dont surround the feet as intended.

That said, the product did work surprisingly well on my heels I would recommend this product. I just wish they'd produce it in multiple sizes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great headset. Frames are flimsy and prone to snapping, 2 Sep 2013
Ive tried a few headsets and this one is very comfortable, with good call quality and a really nice mouth piece.

The big problem with this set it the build quality of the frame. Im on my 4th set now and Ive been taking really good care of them. By their nature you take these on and off your head quite a bit if you use them as a headset during the day for calls. Unfortunately the slightest pressure on the frame with break them completely.

If you want something for serious use, just be prepared to keep returning these or buy something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful quality and great light, 25 July 2013
I'm a little bit skeptical of many products as to whether they'll be as good in practice as the pictures and descriptions. In this instance the light is fantastic. Very strong, looks great and gives out a superb light. This replaced an older cheaper manually switched light that we had before and it's well worth the price.

Thoroughly recommended to anyone in two minds.

1.0 out of 5 stars These are cheap and by god theyre nasty, 13 May 2013

These socks are pretty cheap comparatively based on sale price, but based on the quality of the socks, they should actually be half the price again. These are terrible quality cotton (possibly the worst Ive seen) that I would be surprised if it will make past a single gym session.

If youre looking for some new and exciting ways of presenting imagery then this book is great. You can see most of whats in the book at visualcomplexity.com and they could have included a little more info about how the images are actually created but I love(d) the book.

These little earphones have been my gym set for the last 5 months or so. They survived two washing machine incidents and still give out pretty reasonable sound. Theyre no B&W earphone, but for 15 they give a pretty decent base response. Treble is too harsh and overpowering, but if what youre looking for is a set that are pretty respectable and are going to take some damage, then these are just the ticket.

1.0 out of 5 stars This thing sucks and blows and not in a good way., 28 Jan 2013
Before writing this article I thought I'd try to think of something the machine does well so I could at least add some balance to this otherwise scathing review of a pitiful machine.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing good to say about this disaster on wheels except for the day I can afford my next machine and consign the heap of misery to the local crusher.

Firstly, the weight. This thing is extremely heavy for a vacuum cleaner. I'm a 6'2" fit healthy man and whilst I don't have problems pushing it along, this machine is hardly nimble. When it's sucking at maximum capacity it's quite difficult to push along and the balance of the head weight means it feels extremely heavy. Don't take my word for it, go and try it out before you even contemplate parting with any money.

The cable cradle is as if it were from a hoover in the 1950s. It's both badly designed and very stiff and seems to have been built expresslly with the intention of enabling the cable to get jammed under the head during operation. Which by the way, demonstrates this machine's ability to try to vaccuum its own cable with no protection, unlike any other machine made in the last 20 years.

You have to also tell this machine whether it's on carpet or solid floors, which in many common kitchens where you could get rugs on wood, means you are switching between modes many times over. Unfortunately, that brings you on to the main point of this epic failure. The fact that it just doesn't suck dirt up well. The Miele makes a seemingly endless mess of sucking up mess. It seems almost incapable of inhaling the smallest of crumbs from the finest of carpet weaves. How did this pile of tish ever get through design and testing I frequently find myself thinking, as I haul the electic dustbin over the ever-present dirt.

One final beautiful design feature is that crumbs or dust that gets in to the corners will be safer in the knowledge that this machine won't reach it. Somehow, the Miele designers have built a head that doesn't actually suck right to the edge which means you'll be reaching for the hose more than you would have with any other model on the planet. A hose, which by the way is infuriatingly short and difficult to extract from the vacuum body.

All in all, I have to congratulate Miele. I was once told that they are the Rolls-Royce of home electricals. The first terrible machine (washer dryer) we bought was so bad I thought it was a mistake or runt of the litter. This machine however proves that it is the whole Miele machine's gene pool that should be exterminated.

Please, please, PLEASE go and try this machine out for yourselves before seriously contemplating buying it....
