If You Like Reading About "Blokes" You Will Love This, 3 May 2009
I have to agree with other reviews, I had high hopes for this book which undoubtedly has its laugh out loud moments.
Two or three times he stated "I'm not gay.." what? You keep telling us you are married with three kids, we know that.
Almost every tale in the whole book was about him and other "proper" blokes.
Jo Wiley was described as "fragrant".
Kylie comes out of it well.
His wife is fleetingly mentioned.
There is a chapter on Kate Bush.
Other than that I came away with the distinct impression men rule the world and women are entirely unnnecessary and largely there for adornment.
Describing Paul McCartney as trying too hard to come across as normal was an interesting reflection from someone writing a book that tried very hard to depict a clearly privileged life as normal.
