5.0 out of 5 stars His and Her's, 2 Jan. 2002
This review is from: His 'N' Hers (Audio CD)
By far the easiest Pulp album to listen to, superb lyrics sung in that magical Sheffield Jarvis Cocker way. My favourite has got to be 'Pink Glove', Jarivs pleading with a lady-friend who uses a glove as a kinky toy. Excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for bus journeys, 11 April 2001
If you're like me, travelling a lot, you need a book you can pick up and get into as quickly and painlessly as possible. I hate reading back a couple of pages to get into the flow!
A great novel with a strange format: a series of e-mails throughout the course of the day in a busy ad agency. That actually reads more like a script.
Top class, fast-paced, page turner that works so well!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Star Trek Jim, but not as we know it!, 31 July 2000
The most accurate ST game I've ever seen, the complex and brilliant plot of the game involves the Romulan's planning to overthrow the Klingon government by finding the Sword of Kahless and giving it to a Klingon renegade, this plot is foiled by Worf who traces the plan back to Romulus. A war between Romulus and the Empire begins. In the meantime the Federation is taking care of what's left of the Dominion and playing with temporal mechanics. The shady Borg involvement is revealed who are after the Omega Particle, the Romulan's have this and are forcing the Borg to attack the Klingon's. Where does Jean-Luc stand in all this... well let's just say Locutus is resurrected and that's when the game goes into high gear. If you understood the previous, which means watching a lot of Trek, then this game is for you. Top notch graphics (which just worked on my P166) coupled with excellent gameplay make this a must buy. In the end the Borg reach the Utopia Planita Shipyards, they destroy it, and move on to their next target: Earth!

WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF Wrestlemania 2000

5.0 out of 5 stars Kick ass, 31 July 2000
This review is from: WWF Wrestlemania 2000 (Video Game)
What makes Wrestlemania 2000 so good is the way you will never grow tired of playing it over and over again because everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is edit-able in this game. You get 20 free wrestler slots which means by going on the net and looking for the right codes you can make Kurt Angle, Taz, Rikishi and all the newest stars with ease. You can edit current wrestlers from changing The Undertaker to his biker-gimmick to adding stumble to HHH. All this is backed up with a brilliant AI and wonderful graphics. The only let down is the lack of game modes, there is the Rumble, and King of the Ring, three way and cage, but sometimes you just want a Hell in a Cell or Table match. But hey, this near-perfect game will see it's sequel released in December 2000 (No Mercy) where a Ladder match and Spanish announce table have already been confirmed...

Classic. Steve Coogan rocked the radio world with Alan Partridge only to do it again on TV. This is Alan in his infancy and well worth paying out for... AHA!

2.0 out of 5 stars King of the Wheelie-bin, 30 Jun. 2000
Unlike the person who wrote the commentary above I'm not going to use each wrestlers real name in an attempt to show how much I know about the WWF! If you want an honest review, here we go:
This King of the Ring is all Bret Hart... wippeee... I think not. You either love him or you hate him, most think he is a cry-baby who went to WCW and let his career go down the pan, while a select few think he is "the best there is... ". Bret Hart ruins this event, and makes it. If you do like him then buy it, if not, you'll hate this because he is on the screen for nearly half the video.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Way!, 13 April 2000
This a terrible Wrestlemania! Imagine putting the likes of Razor Ramon against the old, dull and annoying Bob Backlund! The Taker v.s Gonzales match was the one I was waiting for... it lasted 2 minutes with no moves just the two goofs throwing punches until someone interferes! Terrible! The rest of the card was awful, IRS does not belong in the main event!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hell in a Cell, 14 Mar. 2000
This 18 certificate WWF video is worth every penny just to see the Hell in a Cell between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, and the shocking appearance of Kane. Unfortunately the rest of the video looks bland and boring, but trust me, the final match makes this a must for any WWF fan!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst PPV for some time, 12 Mar. 2000
The exact same matches as on the Royal Rumble, from The Rock and Mankind going at it - yet again, in a match that doesn't live up to any of their previous attempts and from McMahon and Austin in steel cage. The same boring one-way main event between the boss and the Rattlesnake as can be seen during the Royal Rumble. The main event lasts just over ten minutes and sucks!

2.0 out of 5 stars No Chance In Hell!, 12 Mar. 2000
Without a doubt the most disappointing event of 1999 for the WWF: Survivor Series. A series of Survivor-rules matches that were thrown together at the last minute bogs down the ppv, as does the re-re-match between Jericho and Chyna that was already getting stale - this kills it. Chyna's pedigree off the top rope was laughable as she messed up big style. And just remeber, everyone who bought the ppv for Austin would be in the main event, they were tricked by the WWF in to buying it, you know the score, don't fall for it!
