5.0 out of 5 stars completely blew my expectations!, 24 Mar. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I checked this game out a little on a few reviews, and looked at some screenshots to see how it was looking, and i thought it looked decent but nothing too special. After i saw it for £17.99 on amazon i had to buy it as it is almost half the price of the usual computer games stores.

Unfortuantely it appears the price has gone up, maybe it was a promotional price, but it is still quite alot cheaper than the shops on here so you still cant go wrong!

This game is completely amazing, totally not reccomended for anybody under 18 as it is completely GTA style; swearing, killing, joy riding, hot wiring cars, dealing drugs, killing cops etc, ya know... an average day in the life of liberty city really. Grat mini side missions buying drugs on a deal then selling them for thousends more to make huge profits is a real bonus in the game for being able to buy the stuff you need, but you dont have to do this to earn cash, u can play the typical style gta of going to different people and completing their missions.

There is so much to do in this game, it is basically huge, like as much to do here as there is on any other gta game, if not more! and the PDA you own is great with the gps at the bottom of the screen, and all contacts, safehouses, dealers etc listed in a seperate section to be able to navigate to seperately.

This is maybe the best gta game ive ever played, i prefer the 3d view of this game to the original gta games and the graphics on this are even better than the ones on the playstation.

Seriously, if you are a fan of GTA then its worth buying a DS just for this game. If it's your birthday coming soon then get a nice shiny new DSi and GTA to go with it. then you can take your game with you where ever you want, conveniant or what.

Amazing, 5 star wonder.

5.0 out of 5 stars does exactly what it says it does., 24 Mar. 2009
The other people who bought this shredder and gave it a 1 star rating must have really abused it. it is completely designed for occasional use... by that it means shredding things like bills, bank statements, pay slips etc etc. When i first bought this shredder i shredded hundreds of papers in the first day, and it handled 5 in one shred quite happily, though i went to 4 and 3 at a time to be a little friendlier to it. just use your head when using this and read the instructions first, it says do not shred constantly for longer than three minutes. if you do reach three minutes give it a rest and let it cool down, then start again, this will prevent it from over heating and packing up. It shreds credit cards no problem at all, mine is now obliterated and the shredder is still fine, it wouldnt say you can shred credit cards on the box if it didnt work.

At the end of the day this is a perfect confetti cut shredder for occasional home use. NOT for office use, and NOT for people who need to shred hundreds of papers in one go, have some patience. Dont buy a shredder designed for occasional home shredding if you need something much heavier duty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Real good fun game, 17 Feb. 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
I've played a couple of hours on this game so far and it is a real good laugh, very cartoony and crazy, the graphics are decent, not amazing and could have been better but theyre better than some games out there, the sounds are not bad either but sounds such as cars etc could have been better. The voice actors are amazing however, the main character you play as, and your holographic sidekick are very entertaining to watch. The main character sounds VERY much like jack nicholsan which is so amusing as he is very arrogant and plain rude. Very funny, a real nice change of a game to play.

If you found GTA fun then you will love this too, very similar type of game only with flying saucers, lazer beams and well, destroying humans with lazer guns, anal probes and other zany weapons!

I'd give this game 7 out of 10, it would have got a higher rating if the graphics were better and the sounds were better, but other than these issues the game overall is very smooth and fun to play! It should have been more gory though and it would have been better if it was realistic.

3.0 out of 5 stars good, but not good enough., 1 Feb. 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Skate 2 (PS3) (Video Game)
I was so excited about this game after playing and loving the original SKATE.
I feel really let down because this isn't really any change from the first one, it feels exactly the same, looks exactly the same and most of the characters are the same. It's almost like a re-make with a couple of little extras and getting charged £40 to play it!

Don't get me wrong this is a brilliant game but... If you have played and completed SKATE 1 then there is no real rush to get this game as there is very little change, and the security guys are just plain annoying, they run too fast and theyre hard to dodge. There are some major issues with the get off your board and walk around too. When tony hawks first brought this into their game they did it perfectly, your character could run freely and smoothly around, but on Skate 2 it's like waiting for paint to dry! takes about ten seconds just to turn around to walk the other way, it is so sketchy it's unbelievable.

Basically it would have just been nice if they had made some bonus levels and stuff rather than it just been in one HUGE city, takes forever to learn your way round and is also borin gas hell travelling, much easier to use the map and skip to places but then you never learn your way around!

5.0 out of 5 stars what an amazing bargain!, 1 Feb. 2009
If you're looking for a wireless keyboard and mouse then look no furthur! I got hold of one of these from a supermarket for just £10 and I am so impressed with it! why waste loads of money on wireless keyboard and mouse packs when you can have this, nice design, comes with duracell batteries, works instantly without having to install anything (unless the hotkeys are important then you have to install logitech setpoint but it only takes a couple of minutes) and it is a really nice comfortable keyboard (and mouse too) to use, the keys are just right, I haven't made any mistakes using this, compared to my other keyboard i made them all the time. Great product, Great buy. dont miss out!

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing Book, 30 Jan. 2009
this book is so in depth and basically tells you everything you could possibly want to know about the game. If you buy a game and need to100% complete it then this si the simplest and bestest path to take. You cant complete LBP easily by looking through a plain text walkthrough! It's just sad! and to top it off it gives a very in depth look into the level building mode. But I recommend completing story mode and collecting as much as you can before creating your level, because you wont have all the pretty little coloured fabrics and cardboards etc.

This is a great purchase for LBP fans

3.0 out of 5 stars quite a disappointment, 13 Jan. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This DVD shows alexi laiho playing children of bodom stuff (very well), and showing you how to sweep pick and use the whammy bar etc, but it only shows you very briefly and very quickly, you could no way master sweep picking watching this unless you have the structures and patterns imprinted onto your brain.

If you want an advanced metal technique dvd then this si not it, however if you want to learn how to play parts from the living dead beat album then this is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars for the people who think the mastering is awful..., 13 Jan. 2009
This review is from: Death Magnetic (Audio CD)
The mastering is not awful at all, the instruments are all mixed together in perfect balance. OK, the instruments do peak alot and give a slight bassey/distorted sound but I feel that this was intentional to make it feel more raw and aggressive, as a band like metallica are only gonna go to someone they trust in music to produce and master their album and obviously they will have listened to it thoroughly before deciding it was ready to be released. Some people are saying the sound is unbearble and absolutely disgraceful, well ive cranked it up on a quality music system and it sounds great. Remember if you have your systems set up with extra bass or anything then this is instantly destroying the sound. Play this album on your stereo with all levels set to the middle, thats the whole point in masetring it in the first place, it doesnt need extra bass less treble etc.

Great album, brilliant songs, nice raw edge to it. I love it

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant entertainment system, 9 Jan. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I'll keep this review short... The reason I love the ps3 so much is because it's so much more than just a games console. It has a brilliant blu-ray player, an additional freeview player if you'd like one, music player, photo library, its a basic PC almost.

There are some great games out to keep you entertained for endless hours, it's a VERY quiet console, doesn't overheat, doesnt crash often and looks great. Unlike the xbox 360 which I also own and sounds like a spaceship is going into launch, LITERALLY!

the only downside to the ps3 is the price, but it is really worth it, you pay around £300 for a blu ray player anyway so if you want a blu ray player get a ps3 cos you get your gaming machine too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great invention, NOT a toy., 25 Dec. 2008
This is a fantastic invention and can be used for either strengthening weak arms and wrists or to relieve the aches and pains of repetitive strain injuries however the plastic, easier to use versions are better for the therapeutic side.

This thing definitely improves your strength in your arms however you will NOT get big biceps and forearms from using these things regularly, anybody who believes they have large arms from using this are talking complete rubbish, yes it may tone them and give them a slight thicker build but you will not have huge arms from using this. Quite simply, the amount of rotations (reps for instance) you use is burning the muscles in your arm out rather than training them to make them grow AKA over training. So it would take a long time to see any difference in the size of your arms as opposed to using dumbells and doing it the proper way.

This tool is great for weightlifters however, as it can really improve the strength of your wrists and elbows.

If you decide to purchase this... Enjoy!

If you'd rather save £40 get a plastic version, because they are just as effective at strengthening weak joints, just not as effective for improving strength.
