5.0 out of 5 stars Its a keeper!, 31 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Zookeeper [DVD] [2011] (DVD)
This family styled movie is fantastic even for those (like myself) who prefer adult humour (family guy, inbetweeners).

Adam Sandler, voicing a monkey, and Jon Favreau, as a bear, along with the star Kevin James, make this movie in my opinion. Theyre lines are hilarious and i dont know how the jokes cant make a person even smile!

Fantastic comedy.

5.0 out of 5 stars First time playing a SR game...and plan to buy the other 2!, 28 Dec. 2011
I prefer this to its rival GTA, you can create your own character...the achievements are fun, you can customize vehicles in any way, the missions are significantly better than its rival...sorry, i cant compare to the first Saints Row games, i have to give them a go...i wouldnt expect them to be as good as this.

For the value it is on here...its a must buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Throw The Shining, Paranormal Activity and The Thing in a blender, and this is what you get!, 27 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Apollo 18 [DVD] (DVD)
This movie is 'found', showing the moment 3 astronauts didnt believe would ever happen to them.

2 of them, on the moon, 1 in orbit hovering above them.

They are sent up to place cameras to detect something for the government, but instead find something else. (keeping spoliers to a minimum)

The terror and choices they face are gripping, and well acted, and it really gets you thinking...'did something like this actually happen?'

2.0 out of 5 stars Dead Pricey, 11 Sept. 2011
This game gets worse as it goes on, at first i thought, this is dissapointing, but gave it a chance, and i tried really hard to like it, but dont.

i was in a party of 4, 2 people, said it was amazing and 10/10, 2 others, one of them me, thought we bought the wrong game.

Graphics are decent. 7/10
Weapon Customization is fun
Bashing zombies is good at times
Driving is fun

Quests are boring and some are endless.
Voice acting reallllllyyyyy bad.
Melee weapons are fun at first but break easily.
hard to find guns anywhere
the map is hard to use.
Zombie moans when they are being beaten get annoying.

So for the prices here, dont buy it, i'd spend, at most £25 for it, buy fifa, gears of war 3, MW3 or the new battlefield. please. save your money, you wont be missing much.

5.0 out of 5 stars we're gonna need a bigger....chopper?, 20 Jun. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dinoshark [DVD] (DVD)
Dinoshark, a creature unleashed by global warming in alaska, (now we know why people want us to turn our washing machine temperatures lower), has travelled to warmer waters to begin a feast of 150 million years.

luckily, EXACTLY the same time the dinoshark arrives, so does our hero- Trace (Eric Balfour), returning to tell stories of his open sea adventures.

i must point out one mistake, only B-movie directors wouldnt recognize, one minute, trace has stubble, in the next scene, nearly a full beard, and the scene after than...STUBBLE! classic B-movie stuff! love it!

The shark, or dinoshark, begins feasting on his friend, and a couple of high flyers, before Trace can do something about it!

Will he? Or will another unlikey source kill the beast...add to basket to find out, cos i aint telling you ;)

all i can say is....i loved it!

127 Hours [DVD]

4.0 out of 5 stars Franco is Superb, 17 Jun. 2011
This review is from: 127 Hours [DVD] (DVD)
James Franco, a usual comedy expert, throws his hat into the ring, taking a risk in this true to life drama/thriller. He shows his emotions fantastically, and, when push comes to shove in the days he is trapped, he portrays an insane, lonely Mr Ralston, showing dark humour, which he nails. This film is gruesome, gripping, and uncomfortable at times to your popcorn fast, youre in for a bumpy ride when watching this.

5.0 out of 5 stars mail lady!, 16 Jun. 2011
This review is from: Hell: The Sequel (Audio CD)
within its first day, it has created controversy with these 2 words in my title.. and, while it is funny, there are plenty more clever lines in each verse of each song. My personal fave track is 'Im on everything' feat Mike Epps, it just feels right for an album where the artists are 'Bad Meets Evil'

The only downside is that one track 'Lighters' feat Bruno Mars, is just too nice to be in a album where drugs and sex are involved, but aside from that, the album is perfect and defos needs to be added to anyones Eminem/Royce da 5'9" collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars monsterous, 20 April 2011
This review is from: Monsters [DVD] [2010] (DVD)
im a fan of action packed, thrilling movies...which this isnt really.

But, it is one of my favourite movies that i have seen.
The special effects are the best i have seen in a long time, probably since I am Legend. And its suprising that they are so good from a movie with only a 5 million dollar budget.

The actors are superb, the real life married couple are brought together to make their way dangerously through the 'infected zone' which contains the aliens.

We do actually see the alien fairly clearly at the start to get off to what is an action packed opening sequence. We also see what would be a terryfing experience in real life, in a boat, and next, in a car...and the end is quite simply...brilliant.

After reading the reviews, i didnt expect to see too many aliens....but i saw more than i expected!

Absolutely superb movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ass-Kicking movie!, 11 April 2011
This review is from: Kick-Ass [DVD] [2010] (DVD)
A movie that contains an 11 year old superhero, Nicholas Cage, and is called Kick-Ass, is always going to come with high expectations.

and it does not let down! Chloe Moretz is superb as Hit Girl, the daughter of deranged former police officer Bid Daddy (Nicholas Cage) who help the main character (Aaron Johnson) fight down the villians of the city.

The movie came with some controversy involving Chloe Moretz, but, to be honest, if it didnt come with controversy it simply wouldnt be as good! This movies definately lives up to expectations, like few movies nowadays actually do, and it is hilarious and action packed which genuinely merits 5 *s!

4.0 out of 5 stars Burking mad..., 2 April 2011
This review is from: Burke and Hare [DVD] [2010] (DVD)
This movie is very loosely based on the 2 famous Irish immigrants who murdered peole for money in Edinburgh

Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis, turn what is a sick idea to make money, into a funny insight of what the 2 men were actually thinking. The movie features cameos Including Bill Bailey and Christopher Lee (Star Wars).

It contains humour, sex and very loose facts on what went on in the 19th century.

I'd recommend it.
