3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty but that's about it, 28 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
They say that in design, form follows function. They say that in Italian design form and function are equal.

Elite have missed something here. Over the past three years cages like these have been the most popular in pro cycling. They take an awesome grip on a bottle. This is fine if you're thundering though the continent, collecting bottles from the team car and then launching them into fields or at the feet of spectators.

For the average, even confirmed, cyclist; they grip the bottles too well. You have to tease them out and avoid dropping them or crashing or smasking the bottle cage.

Looks good though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fairly good, a pocket might be nice, 28 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This does what it's supposed to. It is a very effective garment in windy weather. Whilst in proper heavy rain you will get wet, it can turn a shower.

Even in colder temperatures it can be bit too much, Ventilation is non existant so in warmer temperatures it should be used sparingly, for descents or maybe better something sleeveless.

The cut is very good. The sleeves are really very long for anyone adept at an aero posish on the bike. The thumb-loops are practical and light enough that you can forget about them. The scooped back stops the draught getting up when you are riding and is not too tight. You can still access back pockets.

The all-over day-glo is a boost. You stand out really well in low light.

Can't help thinking that key pocket on the front or inside chest would've been nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Instantly comfortable, fairly stylish, 6 Mar 2012
Walk a mile in these and they feel great. Red is probably the colour to get, only thing cooler than red Gazelles is red Handball Spezials and they are elusive.
Only things that let the Gazelle 2 down are the white synthetic overlay (clown shoes?) and the squeaky tongue (à la Samba).
You can live with that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really stylish, surprisingly durable, 6 Mar 2012
Lightweight and very attractive, these trainer look like they can't take much abuse, but they can. I've had a pair for a year now and the look almost as sweet as the day they were born. The suede overlays hold everything together and the sole is much tougher and more durable than most modern trainers on the market.

Asics Men's Lethal Testimonial St Boot
Asics Men's Lethal Testimonial St Boot
Offered by altonsports- Run and Fitness Store
Price: 40.55 - 69.36

3.0 out of 5 stars Great looking boot, 15 Feb 2012
To be harsh, Asics only brought out this boot as the original Testimonial Japan was getting too expensive to produce in Italy. This updated version looks the business. It's light, stable and supportive and has a fit that it is incredibly narrow. They run long so if you have wider feet you should avoid these or risk wearing clown shoes.
Quality is passible but there is a whiff of cheapness compared to a premium, but not necessarily much dearer boot like the Testimonial Japan, Morelia, Brasil Italy, Fuoriclasse or World Cup.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robust and practical, 4 Dec 2011
It is big and roomy but at first glance seems a little flimsy.
This is not the case.
You can stuff this hugely practical and comfortable rucksack with all kinds of stuff and it can certainly take it. A good buy and a great value price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent little moka pot, 4 Dec 2011
An Italian design icon. Great coffee at home like you'd get in a café. Simple to use and a pleasure too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, comfortable and good value, 4 Dec 2011
These running shoes provide the right amount of cushioning. They are durable and you never feel like you're teetering on a stupid airsole. Excellent stability. They are quite wide fitting and run true to size or a little bit long.

Nike Air Zoom Vomero + 4 Running Shoes, Size UK12
Nike Air Zoom Vomero + 4 Running Shoes, Size UK12

3.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable but not flawless, 20 Dec 2010
Although strictly speaking, running shoes, I bought them for the gym too, etc. I'd done a lot of running in my last pair; some Nike Air Max 360, awful on my problem feet and the sole materials wore down ridiculously easily.
Yet rather than getting a pair of New Balance or Mizuno I plumped for these. The absence of the famous Air sole has only been a good thing.
These runners are lightweight, breathable and they have a fit that feels comfortable and yet supportive and reassuring.
I've been impressed by the sole's durability but what is not durable is the lining at the rear of the foot. This burst as if it was made if kitchen towel very early on.
I don't know if perfection exists in Nike's running shoes. If you are unsure, I suggest you hold out for ASICS, Mizuno or New Balance.

Scotland Mens 1986 Shirt
Scotland Mens 1986 Shirt

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Bonnie but..., 14 Dec 2010
Incorrectly labelled this is indeed a Score Draw mock-up of the 1986 WC shirt and not the 1967 shirt as you could be led to believe.
I bought this as I was born in 1986 as it's quite a good-looking effort.
First of all, understandably, the Umbro branding has been given the heave-ho. If you can live with that, well it won't bother you too much. Be careful not to wash this shirt at too high a temperature or you may risk finding that as the stitching shrinks the seams tighten and it pulls the collar and trimmings out of shape. The embroidery on the shirt is great but the material is very 'old-skool' polyester style. Not so breathable. Wear this on a hot day (for a Scot ie.; abroad) and you will be cooking.
Nice shirt though that could be a touch better. It will do until adidas come up with something better than the current train-wreck.
