I bought the book because I've always admired Dunphy, even if I didn't always agree with his opinions. After reading the book, I've now turned against him completely and can only wish that I could get a refund. Dunphy is against Ireland in every aspect. Not just against the soccer team but also culturally, socially and politically. As for his comments regarding the North of Ireland, the less said the better. A line in his book states that Irish Nationalists in the North subjected Unionists to 20 years of terrorism. As an Irish Nationalist, I completely refute that statement and its not something I was expecting to be confronted about from a journeyman's football book. As for the rest of the book, I found it a really boring and uninspiring read. AVOID.
