Excellent heart rate monitor watch, 23 Sep 2010
This heart rate monitor watch comes with a transmitter belt (with elastic strap) and also bicycle mounting bracket with O-ring.
This is great for checking that your within your heart rate limits during a training session at the gym. Comes with an easy to follow manual.
There's a built in backlight which lights the screen a light blue colour.
Has three main menus, when not in a menu, the date, time and name are displayed. To give you some idea of what you can set on this watch here's the menu details:
-Heart Rate Zone(Gender, Age, Weight, Max Heart Rate, Start TZ: lower heart rate limit of your training zone, End TZ: upper heart rate limit of your training zone)
-Auto Scan on/off: cycles display in Training mode showing Time, KCal, Training Time
-My Name: Edit name on watch shown in Clock mode (default name is PC 11)
**Training menu** takes you to the Training Manager
-Reset: resets training data for last training session.
-Start: start training session, running man icon is animated.
-Pause: pause current training session
-End: ends current training session
-Training zone limits in the form of a level bar
-Heart rate reading from the belt
-Reset: resets the cumulative total currently being displayed
-Total Time: Displays cumulative total training time
-Total KCal: Displays cumulative total calories burned
The belt is comfortable and it was detected by the watch as soon as I put it on.
I've used this at a local gym and I noticed that all the gym equipment (with built-in heart rate monitors) I went on also picked up the heart rate which is an added bonus. I don't know if this is true of all gym equipment though.
This is my first heart rate monitor watch and I think it's very easy to use.
