5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what it says on the tin!, 1 Jan 2012
These two paperback books in a lovely hardback case are a great nostalgic look-back on the Fifa World Cup from 1970 to 2010. Each book contains the Panini sticker albums from each World Cup reproduced in colour, with all the fixtures, match schedules and all the players from the past to the present. The 1970 album, when England were the holders of the Jules Rimet Trophy shows the reproduced stickers of greats such as Gordon Banks, Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton to name just three. The great Brazilian team featuring Pele, Carlos Alberto and the young left-footed, Rivelino. My first World Cup was Argentina '78 and it was a real trip down memory lane looking back on the stickers from that year, an album I collected and then like a fool must have thrown away! An expensive purchase but in my eyes a good one, because unlike my original albums, I will be keeping these ones forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping watching., 13 May 2011
This review is from: The Gulf War [DVD] (DVD)
This is the BBC doing what we pay them to do, producing top quality gripping programming. This series was first broadcast in the mid 1990's and it is just as good as I remember it. There are four episodes on this 2 DVD set (not six as some state, and not one disc), Invasion and Thunder and Lightning are on disc one and Desert Storm and The Ragged End are on disc two. Each episode shows military action, interviews with all the top people around at the time, plus the brave guys who were involved in the conflict from both sides. Absorbing, compelling and at times saddening, scenes when the Kurds are forced from their homes in a mass exodus to flee the brutal Iraqi army, this series has it all. You will not be disappointed with this purchase, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Champions All! Champion book., 16 Feb 2011
This excellent book has a wealth of information for all football fans that are interested in the games statistics. All teams, attendances and games played are listed for every season the champion club in England has played through the years, from 1888/89 to the 2006/07 season. Also included are the top six in the league table from the end of December and the top six at the end of the season, so you can see how the race for the title was developing. A brief description of all the champions is also included. This is a book that will hold your interest straight away and one that you will always go back to for information in the future.
