Price: £28.50

5.0 out of 5 stars The best portable FM/AM radio, 11 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had all sorts of radios over the years but this is easily my favourite. Unlike DAB radios, the batteries go on and on. Looks good, good to use and sounds good. Was under £20.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well chuffed!, 10 Dec. 2013
Having read all the reviews after getting this for £25 on the Christmas Deals, I was a bit worried whether or not this would be any good. No need to worry, so far I've used it on wood, metal and brick no problems at all.
The drill bits supplied are only for wood and metal which suggests that the drill can't cope with masonry. Using good quality drill bits (Irwin multi use) it went into the brick easily and without using too much pressure.
Not one for the pros, but a brilliant and inexpensive drill to have round the house for all those little jobs. If money is tight, buy it. If you can afford a little more, I'd go for the lithium ion Terratek which as well as having a better battery, also has a faster motor.
Both are great value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks the part, 27 Sept. 2013
After spending about 5 hours assembling the Norm 69, which also looks good, it was a relief to find that the Norm 12 is much easier to put together. I was going to put 2 Norm 69s up, but really can't be bothered to spend hours on another one so bought two of these. They look amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 23 Dec. 2011
I was looking at this or the Cambridge Sciences G7II. Very happy with this:

1024 screen which is a very responsive capacitive screen with pinch to zoom.

Although only a single core processor, more than fast enough for general browsing.

Official Android Market - games download quickly (I downloaded a racing game that utilises the device's motion sensor).

Battery power is very good (I was browsing, downloading, game playing and streaming; lasted for about 6 hours.

Comes with Documents to go which is compatible with Word etc.

Build quality is solid.

For a branded tablet with these specs at this price it's highly recommended, although if you need 3G, I'm pretty sure you need to look elsewhere.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ruined by crazy, greedy pricing., 12 Oct. 2010

Great idea and quite easy to navigate the whole paper.

When amazon/The Independent realise they're just being greedy and reduce the price by at least half, I might consider subscribing. I'm sure sales would quadruple and thus make them more money.

3.0 out of 5 stars If Morris were made of chocolate, he'd eat himself., 8 Oct. 2010
This review is from: Superfan (Kindle Edition)
Fairly interesting, and Morris is obviously a massive Spurs fan, but having read the book it comes across as if he's an even bigger fan of himself and quite frankly, a bit of a brown noser.

Reading between the lines, you get the impression that the biggest star of them all, Bill Nicholson, had very little time for him if any.

If Morris didn't have any money, I wonder how many of those players would really be his friend and without his footballing friends to show off, how many of his celebrity 'friends' would give him the time of day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!, 16 Aug. 2010
After spending hours trawling the net looking at forums and 'expert' reviews on this and other TVs I got so confused that I was a bit apprehensive when the TX-P46S20B actually arrived. My apprehension was instantly put to rest the moment I saw the picture from a blu-ray disc - stunning! No buzzing, no flickering just a fantastic picture. Plasma screens are notoriously reflective, so placement in the room needs to be considered especially if you watch TV mostly in the daytime (don't place it facing the windows).

If, like me, you're in two minds whether to buy this or the later (and much more expensive) 46G20 and picture quality is your only criteria, buy this. It doesn't have all the gizmos of the G20 but if you're just going to watch it rather than play with it, you won't see hardly any difference.

There's quite a debate about whether or not this model actually does use the 'NeoPDP' panel technology that amazon advertise it as having. No mention of it on the box or manual, but the black levels really couldn't be any blacker as far as I'm concerned. SD DVD is also a brilliant picture. DVB SD TV is obviously nowhere near as good as HD, and on a TV this size you will clearly see a big difference in quality, same with the G20, but unlike many LCD TVs you don't get the 'blocky pixelated' effect. In short, if you're only going to watch SD TV, I wouldn't bother with a TV of this size Plasma or LCD at all, but if you have HD TV or watch lots of DVDs and blurays, buy it.
