5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, excellent value, 10 Aug. 2013

Like some other purchasers was a little sceptical about this product but have been really impressed by its performance and build quality. Comes with extras that many top brands skimp on - e,g. Spare battery, headset, applied screen protector two types of case. Very, very impressed!

Liked the first version of game however in the second you get to the first mission requiring a rifle ungraded, you purchase the upgraded rifle and the game won't let you proceed further. Its like it doesn't recognise the new rifle.

So four missions in and your stuck - not good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Its cricket, but not as we know it!, 2 Mar. 2012
I get at least one comment a week using this with my office laptop. It bowls everyone for a googly!

Its simple to use, extremely portable, lightweight but robust. Its been a great boon to me, saving me a good many pains in the neck. Only criticism is that it isn't cheaper - but then you get what you pay for.

I use it for my laptop but it would do as well as a screen / touchpad stand and I am unsure if a smaller version for netbooks and e-readers but you could probably get the bigger version for your laptop and use it without the legs fully extended for a netbook or e-reader.

Just watched this for the 3rd time with our neighbour's kids - a delight for all ages! Funny on so many levels with a wonderful cast of actors as the voices. If you love animations such as 'The Incredibles' or 'Chicken Run' then you'll love this one.

A much more innocent age of action adventure. No lurid violence, no swearing, no explicit sex, no extreme horror. Just good old fashioned daring-do and near scrapes with the good guys getting the upper hand in the end.

Likeable cast, especially the dog, not too daft storylines - good easy watching to settle down to. Don't expect great special effects - there weren't any in those days. You're expected to not mind the low-tech effects and engage a little imagination to make it come alive.

For a likeable adventure series and for buck per hour of watching its a good buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Season 3 and still enjoying it!, 17 Oct. 2011

I stumbled across Eureka Season 1 by happy accident and am enjoying it more as it goes on. This series is always engaging, always amusing with likeable characters.

Only down side (to this DVD) is that for some unfathomable reason the distributors put season 3 on two DVDs - to get the full season 3 you need this one and Eureka 3.5 - hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

If like me, you hadn't come across it before, give it a go. Its not as comic as Warehouse 13 - it makes you smile more though, and the characters are more believable, and the stories more thoughtful. There's plenty science there too for those that like it.

Basic premise is an American town where all the genius' live, hidden from the rest of the world and all working on research at the local 'facility' called Global Dynamics. Hero is Sheriff Carter who stumbles into the job whilst taking his runaway daughter back to his estranged wife (the daughter ends up staying with him in Eureka). Carter is a techno-dunce in a world of nerds and geniuses who are forever coming within a hair's breadth of disaster whilst they try to save the world. An excellent cast and some good storylines make this one of the better series of the geeky Sci-Fi genre. You can happily sit down and watch it with Granny or the kids too - no real gore n' guts stuff. Always on the light-hearted side.

Another 25 or so episodes with Scott Baluka as Capt Jonathan Archer - series builds to a crescendo, with a surprising ending - won't spoil it, but they had to make room for a 4th series, didn't they?

Episodes and story lines are every bit as good as series one or two, albeit focused on the Xindi threat to Earth.

If you enjoyed the other two, you'll enjoy this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Brer memories, 23 July 2011
I first came across Brer Rabbit as a child and remember being enchanted at all the rabbit`s tricks and pranks. Reading these again as an adult I enjoyed them just as much. Once you get your 'ear' for the Deep South dialect that the book`s written in, its enchanting. As an author Harris influenced many of the greatest writers for children - Twain, Potter, Kipling, and Blyton.

The e-book could benefit from a better layout and contents but at this price I can't complain!
