5.0 out of 5 stars This doesn't dissapoint, 16 Jan. 2012

Being a huge fan of John Williams, I knew before seeing the film that this was going to be a sweeping, epic score of multiple dimentions and emotions. From the sleepy village in the middle of Dartmoor to the charge of the cavalry, to the slaughter on "no mans land" it envokes every feeling that one has for a film of this scale. To call this vintage Spielburg is one thing, I reckon to call this classic Williams doesn't do it justice. This film is stunning and I emplore everybody (young and old) to go and see this film, you may require a tissue!

5.0 out of 5 stars Its not as fictional as you may think, 18 Oct. 2011
A long time begotton is the world of Downton Abbey. A time when the richest people in the land were the celebreties of their day, and their servants duly went about their buisiness unknown to most.

Downton Abbey is by-far the most accurate portrayal of any working household during the early 20th Century. It shows us what life was really like for people living and working in this small communes. The heirachy of the servants with the Butlar and Housekeeper at the top all the way down through the maids, footman, all the way to the kitchen staff really show what it must have been like.

The performances are nonetheless inspiring and it certainley keeps you coming back for more.

I would highly recomend this fantastic series if you have any interest in English hertitage, the glitz and glamour of early 20th century life or are just looking for something to really get into. Downton Abbey is not one to be missed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, 8 May 2008
I first watched this film at the age of 7, and was completely drawn in within the first few minutes of this film. I loved the way the simple story line, of a young boy finding a new friend and nearly loosing him forever is unreal, and I think its something that everybody who watches this film can relate to.

As for the music, I mean what can I say. John Williams has again created a masterpiece for the score of this film, which again adds to the emotion. I find myself whistling the tune over and over again!!!

Probably one of the best childrens films ever!!!
