2.0 out of 5 stars If they sell to the UK maybe instructions in English would be a good idea!, 4 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Instructions in German. So far not having much luck working it out - there is a lovely blue flashing light and the odd bleeping noise but not much of a connection to my Bluetooth MP3.

If they sell to the UK maybe instructions in English would be a good idea!

4.0 out of 5 stars The battery came in good time and appeared to be intact / good quality, 30 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The battery came in good time and appeared to be intact / good quality.

However, the little plastic tool would not separate the back off my ipod and the ends broke. I think some of the later ipods have been designed by Apple to make it almost impossible to replace the battery yourself. Obviously this is not the fault of the battery supplier and I knew I was taking a bit of a risk in trying but compared to the cost of buying a new Ipod it was worth having a go.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great MP3 but songbird software is lousy, 20 Jun. 2012
This is a great value well designed MP3 which I love. The only problem is getting the album covers to show which requires the Songbird software. I am not exactly a big fan of iTunes but it is a dream piece of software compared to Songbird.

The Songbird software routinely loses the covers and other metadata on transfer to the MP3 player and is painfully SLOW SLOW SLOW! I feel like I have wasted days trying to load the tracks on. Therefore I can recommend this MP3 but only if you are not really bothered with the covers! It's a shame as the graphic is good when you can get it.

2.0 out of 5 stars incredibly slow, 12 Nov. 2011
Bought this last week and so far have already reformatted due to corrupt files.

The problem is that, it takes a good 2-5 minutes to recognise files and move/copy them and often seems to freeze on the 'preparing to move' screen for ages. You think it has stopped working and try to cancel/remove the stick. This just causes the problem with corrupt files.

I do wish I had gone for a more recognised make. Will persevere for a bit longer but suspect I've bought a 'duffer'

3.0 out of 5 stars Problem with Wii version, 25 May 2011
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
We got this game at Xmas and initially loved it and moved steadily through the stages. However, we reached a stage where there appeared to be a glitch in the game. The character would complete a task eg Goal drop kick and there would be a 'mission complete' on the screen - however the task would keep being offered over and over and not listed on the 'completed task' list.
There are 3 tasks that we complete but cannot get past. The game will not offer any new stages until it registers them as complete. As a result there is approx 30% of the game that we will never be able to play. We searched the web and there are others with the same problem but no solution - Disney are not interested. It only seems to affect PC and Wii versions - if possible buy the other versions -they seem to be different (better) games anyway.

Would appreciate any possible solutions - remember we ARE completing the task but it just doesn't seem to register with the program.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good aussie band, 18 Aug. 2010
This review is from: Life on the Border (Audio CD)
Caught them by chance busking in Adelaide whilst we were on holiday. Enjoyed the set and bought the album straight away. Good mix of instruments and melodic songs. Perhaps not startlingly original but if you enjoy the likes of Arcade fire or waterboys then this might appeal.

3.0 out of 5 stars dimensions are confusing, 6 Oct. 2009
The dimensions quoted on the technical spec make no sense - I looked up the Hama website for the
correct ones.

Amazon need to correct these details.

Archos 2 8GB MP3 Player/Radio - White
Archos 2 8GB MP3 Player/Radio - White

3.0 out of 5 stars Missing some basic requirements, 30 Sept. 2009
The Archos 2 is a missed opportunity. They should have focussed on the music MP3 aspect and ensured that this worked adequately before adding video etc.

The pro's and cons are:

Small well made hardware
Easy to add extra memory
V good sound
FM radio is excellent

However,

The screen info is terrible - why have a graphic equaliser display but no detail of artist or album
The search facility by artist/album is a bit dodgy on my machine
There is no playlist function
There is no 'hold' button

But you can download the lyrics for a song onto the screen (if you can figure out who it is!)How many will use this function compared to a playlist option?

In an effort to look fancy and have lots of advanced features they have missed the opportunity to offer the customer a good quality MP3 player - which is what most customers will want from this product at this price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much 'Heart' in this?, 5 Jun. 2009
This review is from: Quicken the Heart (Audio CD)
This was my first MP album purchase (although I have downloaded a good number as individual tracks in the past.)

Overall this album is missing something - I am reminded of Embrace - somehow the parts do not add up to more. There is a lacklustre feel to the arrangements, production and lyrics. However, at the same time any real feeling has been replaced by a lot of musical bluster.

I was expecting more and will be reselling this album on the marketplace shortly.

3.0 out of 5 stars songs are pretty similar, 23 Jan. 2009
This review is from: Scouting For Girls (Audio CD)
My daughter(aged13)loves singing all the songs on this album, but she mixes the words for one song with another eg verse for heartbeat with chorus of Elvis ain't dead. This just emphasized to me how similar the songs are in tempo, arrangements and indead tune.

If you want an album of happy songs that all sound the same then this is Ok.
