4.0 out of 5 stars Quality bag., 28 April 2016
A good quality clutch bag that has a lot of features and looks to be well made. It arrived in a gift box with a separate clip on wrist strap. It looks to be made of leather and is well finished although I am not sure I liked the gold IMICHAEL badge on the front which lacked class. The bag has 3 card slots, and 4 other pockets for cash and cellphone.

It is badged as for the iPhone 6 and 6S and I think you will struggle to get a 6S in there with any sort of protective case along with the larger android phones but it is fine for a mid range device. The strap is secure and it has a feeling of quality with a good finish inside and a secure zip with a tab to make it easy to open. Supplied by EONFINE in exchange for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice goggles but tight around the nose., 28 April 2016
These are neat and well packaged goggles that I ordered for my wife who is a keen swimmer. The first challenge was to get into the clear plastic case. After a bit of head stratching I found you twist the top where the loop is, to be fair this is in the instructions but I never read those and it was not obvious from looking at the case. The goggles are well made with mirror lenses that are not too tinted and supplied with a selection of nose and ear plugs.

The goggles had a handy quick release clasp at the back although I am not sure this is really needed? The main issue very narrow at the bridge of my nose. The cups are quite generous and I was able to slacken them off to use them comfortably and still seal properly. However there is no obvious adjustment to resolve this and if you have a large bridge on your nose you may struggle with these. Other than that great value goggles. 5.0 out of 5 stars An impressive and versatile speaker., 28 April 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The new Roberts R-Line is a collection of premium multi-room speakers offering an an alternative to SONUS. You can use them individually or as part of a multi-room wireless streaming system playing the same music in every room or different music in each room. They offer more flexibility though allowing you to stream across Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You can play your music collection from your PC or smartphone access or stream via Spotify Connect or Internet radio.

The S2 speaker is quite a large speaker that can be used on its own or two can be set up as a stereo pair. It has a height of 185mm, width of 290mm and a depth of 120mm and is quite heavy but feels well made and solid. It has control buttons on the top which can be tricky is it is slotted into a cabinet. The black and silver finish is attractive and it has a real feel of quality. It is supplied in an impressive branded box along with a comprehensive instruction booklet and a power supply.

To get the most out of the speaker you need to download and install the free UNDOK app to your iOS or Android phone or tablet which allows you to remotely control the speaker, configure it and select the music source. The speaker peers easily for Bluetooth audio streaming and you can use NFC for easy pairing if you device supports it using the area on the top of the speaker. The speaker supports Spotify Connect and lets you control the music using the Spotify app on your phone tablet or PC and there is a 30 day trial of Spotify Premium also included. It also allows access to internet radio and you can also stream your music collection from PC or Network Storage via WiFi on either the 2.4G or 5Ghz bands or through the wired Ethernet connection that is included. There is also a 3.5mm auxilary socket for a wired input as well.

The sound quality was good with plenty of power and a natural clear sound that did not sound over processed. It did not blow me away initially and I would have preferred a deeper and punchier bass but this improves as you put the volume up and it certainly fills the room and can be improved by playing with the equalisers on the UNDOK app or the input device. After a bit of fiddling I managed an impressive sound, there is a stereo mode switch on with left, right and wide options but this made little difference to my ears and probably comes into its own in a multi speaker set up.

This is an impressive and versatile speaker. I have tested alternatives from Pure and Panasonic but this seems to combine all the best features of both along with some tricks of its own. It sounds good and is capable of filling a good sized room and I have not come across a speaker with so many input options. My only concern is whether the range is successful enough to be supported and expanded moving forward as there is a lot of competition in this area.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super sound, 28 April 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Nearly £200 is a lot of money for a compact Bluetooth speaker but not a lot for something from Bang & Olufsen so this is tricky to value for review purposes. The packaging is suitably premium and the unit is supplied with a USB to USB-C charging cable, a rather hard to follow multi-language instruction booklet and a leather hanging strap attached. Green may not be my choice of colour but it looks very well made with a top made out of metal alloy and a rubberised plastic base. The speaker is approximately the circumference of a CD/DVD and about 2 inches tall so it is portable but you are not going to be able to slip it into the pocket of your jeans and it has some real weight to it coming in at 600 grammes.

It is very stylish and minimalist with no obvious buttons until you notice the symbols around the base. There are flush buttons to turn the unit on, adjust the volume and select functions but a hard to find and fiddly to use, a definite case of form over function. The unit is compatable with the B&O PLAY app which apparently allows you to activate your most recently played music at launch, personalise your listening experience and use two units to set up (a very expensive) wireless stereo pairing. I was not able to test this as the Android app has not been launched and the IOS version was not in the Apple Store for my iPad 3rd Gen, usually a sign of incompatabilty despite it running the latest version of IOS 9. As this is pre-launch I have ignored this in the rating though.

So you have a rather bulky and heavy potable speaker that looks impressive but is expensive and a bit fiddly to operate. However the sound actually made me forget all this as it is the the best sounding portable speaker I have heard. It has a lovely warm tone that sounds natural with sufficient power to fill the room. There is detail in the treble and properly deep bass that is not particularly dependant on the surface the speaker is placed on. It really is impressive and suddenly it all starts to make sense.

The claimed battery life is 24 hours and I have not managed to run it down yet after 3 days extensive testing. Note it does use the USB-C standard so you may have to use the cable supplied to charge it. There is also a 3.5mm socket for a wired connection and a microphone for handsfree calls. It works well as long as the mic is pointing toward the user and not obscured, not so obvious as it is under the lip of the base of the unit. A good tip is point the hanging strap toward you. It is dust and splash resistant, whatever that means but it is not something I would comfortably use on the beach or bathroom without being careful to cover it first.

Despite the cost and some of the issues raised this speaker manages to justify its cost with its design, battery life and sound quality. While I am sure you can get speakers that sound as good or even better for the price I doubt they will be as compact or as stylish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value high speed memory card., 28 April 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
When it comes to memory I always think it is worth sticking to brand names while balancing this off against cost and most of my memory cards seem to be Kingston. I have the 16GB variant which is a micro-SDHC card supplied with a good quality SD card adaptor so you can access the card’s data on any device with an SD slot but other options are available up to 64GB with and without the adapter.

The card exceeds the UHS-1 Class 10 U3 standard with 45 MB/s for upload and up to 90 MB/s for read performance. The primary benefit is recording large files such as 4K video or RAW pictures but it also makes for a fast and snappy experience on my Sony IXUS 510HS camera for HD Video and JPEG files as well. It is advertised as water proof, temperature proof, shock proof, X-Ray proof so should be great for travel and the Go-Pro community although I I was not able to test this.

This is a good quality card by a known brand at a reasonable price with an SD adapter thrown in. There are cheaper options if you don't require the latest high speed standards but this still represents great value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Longer staples, premium price., 26 April 2016
Good quality staples at a reasonable price and delivered quickly. I cannot ask for more really but this box of 5000 is quite a bit more expensive than the smaller sizes. However if this is the size you need they are still not expensive and work well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Convincing Spy Pen., 26 April 2016
This is a neat voice recording pen that looks very unobtrusive and handy for covert recording. The pen is supplied in an attractive box with magnetic closure that includes a USB charging cable, a 3.5mm converter cable, an earpiece with a 3.5mm jack and a spare refill. The pen looks to be a reasonable quality and does write as when you twist the end a ballpoint tip is reviled from the short refill inside.

You unscrew the middle of the pen to revel a charging / output socket, on off switch and status LED. The socket looks like a micro USB but is sunk into the pen and requires the bespoke lead to connect to it. When the pen is charged up I tried it out and the sound quality was surprisingly loud and clear. It was easy to make out voices and the microphone was quite sensitive. The on/off switch is tiny and impossible to switch with your fingers but I just used the end on the pen to move it. You can then start and stop recording using the button on the end.

There is a tiny status LED but this is not visible when clipped to your jacket pocket to give away that all is not as it seems. The recordings are stored as WAV files, there were also two strange MP3 files stored on the pen (a version of Strawberry Fields was one) so other formats can be stored. There was also a script to set the time but this was in Chinese and I couldn't work it out.

This is a handy pen for evidence gathering or even recording meetings and lectures. It looks convincing and works well despite being a bit fiddly to use. Supplied by Vicloon in exchange for an honest review.

Hawaiian Tropic 180 ml SPF 15 Satin Protection Sun Lotion
Hawaiian Tropic 180 ml SPF 15 Satin Protection Sun Lotion
Price: £9.53

4.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but smells lovely., 26 April 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is quite an expensive Sun Tan Lotion but has got a nice fragrance and feel to compensate. It comes simply packaged in a plastic bottle which stands upside down. The lotion has a pleasant coconut smell without it being too strong and is absorbed easily into the skin without being too greasy. With the current weather I cannot comment on its behaviour in the sun but SPF 15 is usually fine for me as I am fairly dark skinned but you my need a higher protection factor if your skin is lighter.

It is good to use but does seem a bit expensive when compared to premium brands such as Piz Buin. I know you can spend a lot more on sun protection but I have never felt the need. However this does small very nice and that may be enough to swing it for some.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mini spy cam., 26 April 2016
This is a handy and compact security / body camera. It came in an attractive branded box containing; the PIR Mini Cam, a permanent wall bracket, a removable wall bracket, a clip holder that you can use on it's own or with the removable wall bracket, a USB to mini USB cable for charging / PC cable but no charger, and an instruction booklet. The camera is very small approximately 6 cm in length and 2 cm wide. The case has the same form factor as an earlier camera I had without the PIR and I was able to use the accessories with that.

The unit requires a micro SD card to work and this is not included. I used a Kingston 32GB Class 10 card which worked fine and is the largest it will support. This will provide hours or recording and delivers smooth video without stuttering. The card needs to be formated before use and is installed on the side of the unit which clicks in and out. It took about 4 hours to charge using the mini USB cable which is slightly inconvenient as most of my other devices use the micro USB standard now. A red light comes on during charging which turns off when charging complete when a blue light comes on.

The PIR has a 90 degree PIR angle and a approximately 24 feet range, There is a short delay after it is triggered and the camera view angle is 72 degrees which is quite narrow. The camera needs to be carefully aimed and may not catch someone who is passing but the it is better to aim so that the target is approaching. The size of the unit makes this fairly straightforward. Video is recorded at 720 x 480 and playback is AVI and the video quality is quite good although it does drop off in low light.

Date and time can be set by connected the camera to the PC using the mini USB cable although this was by editing a text file which is a bit clunky. Another issue is a small LED comes on when recording which could give away the location if being used covertly and is worth taping over in this instance.

This is a handy little camera ideal for covert monitoring or being used in areas where no other camera will fit. It works well although is a little clunky to operate and configure. It was supplied at a discounted price by the Conbrov Group in exchange for an honest review.
