5.0 out of 5 stars Best yet!, 21 May 2012
This review is from: A State Of Trance 2012 (Audio CD)
I agree with George D-this is definitely the best ASOT and I reckon it will stand the test of time too. If you have a spare 11.99 buy it you wont be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nicely mixed, 27 Mar. 2012
I managed to get this for just over a fiver as I wanted to see if there is any discernible sound difference. At that price this CD is worth a listen if you have a decent system-the sound is alot clearer and there is some spine tingling mxing: money into comfortably numb into high hopes for example. I have all the last set of remasters and have been highly sceptical about repurchasing but having had a listen to this CD I am thinking about getting one or two as there are alot of really useful reviews on this new set of remasters.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as his podcasts, 17 Mar. 2012
One or two great tunes on this CD but overall I was disappointed with it.I was expecting some better mixing which GE is usually good at doing-I will just get his podcasts they are much better.

The High Performance Organization: Creating Dynamic Stability and Sustainable Success
by Linda Holbeche
Edition: Paperback
Price: £35.09

4.0 out of 5 stars Well researched and comprehensive, 17 Mar. 2012
A good summary of Roffey Park's research. It covers all relevant topics in depth and critically so it takes some time to work though.Pity Gallup don't produce something similar to this but it's worth a read nevertheless.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent place to start redesigning your organisation, 17 Mar. 2012
A very well written book with a superb set of work sheets at the end of each chapter. The book is extremely stimulating and comprehensive and it will take you through a highly practical process of determining how change-able your organisation is and where your priorities need to be. The only thing I would have liked is a CD-ROM with word versions of the worksheets as per Designing your Organization. Recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars A useful update to Galbraith's classic, 17 Mar. 2012
This book is worth a read. The authors have made a useful modification to the STAR model in this book and there is a CD-ROM with some useful worksheets that you are free to distribute.I have read the book through a couple of times and I think I prefer Designing Dynamic Organisations better. However, put the 2 together and you have a very sound body of knowledge and a very useful framework for assessing and reconfiguring the design of your organisation.

Experiential Approach to Organization Development
Experiential Approach to Organization Development
by Donald R. Brown
Edition: Paperback
Price: £97.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Some useful 2011 perspectives, 17 Mar. 2012
This book is very detailed and thorough and read in conjunction with some of the other classic texts is a useful introduction to the subject.Despite its high price tag is really aimed at university level courses so I wouldn't really say it was a truly experiential approach as the exercises are very classroom based. However, the first part is quite good at setting out the current context within which OD can add value to an organisation, what OD actually does and there is a good concise explanation of the socio-technical systems approach too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has everything in it you need to understand and use, 17 Mar. 2012
I haven't comprehensively done a Literature Review of AI but this is the 3rd book I have read on the subject and it explains very well AI, has loads of worksheets and tells you how to set up AI projects. I still have to work my way through this book but won't currently be buying anything else as this seems to do the job.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable Introduction, 12 Nov. 2011
The book is up to date and covers a wide range of relevant topics often from new perspectives. I am a management trainer with advanced qualifications in management so for me it lacks depth but for people who are new to management it might be worth a look given that it is reasonably priced.there is some good advice in places and quite insightful at times too.
