5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - almost what train journeys were invented for, 3 Feb 2014

I bought mainly for the Mark Butcher inclusion, but there are no bad parts to this compilation.
As with all fiction it is hard to review too much without giving too much of the plot away, my advice would be that if you like your fiction a little quirky and leftfield and enjoy reading short fiction this is a must read.

Very well written and enjoyable addition to reading, and I would (and have) bought other work by these authors without question.

Quirky, fun, clever, well written.
This is a great book, with a very imaginative plot, that even after all the twists and turns and talking toilets seems to make perfect sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes the phone perfect, 14 Nov 2013

While the battery that comes with the phone is light, I could run it from 100% to shut down in 2 hours, this one after 24 hours of normal use is at 75%.
Another great product from Anker.

It does make the phone slightly heavier and not as slim, but to me the fact I can use it without having to constantly worry about batter life is far more important.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, 17 April 2013

Battery life is the only issue, which I guess is the compromise.
But why would you buy a kindle, when the kindle app is free to add to this device?
Has all the features and functions needed, wireless connection holds up very well, and managing the apps and connection is a little task just to make sure the battery lasts as long as possible.

For the money and functionality it is great value, there is no debate on that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and gripping read, 17 April 2013

Read the blurb and I thought i knew what was coming, I was very wrong.

The twists and turns in the plot and the introduction of new characters and threads is expertly done here. Linking "council geezers", death, religion, supermodels and some other areas I won't mention at risk of spoiling it for you, this was a very welcome addition to my reading.

If you enjoy a good thriller this is most definitely for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read - great fun, 25 May 2010
Where to start...
As a Spurs fan I was aware of Morris, and heard of the book so decided to buy it regardless of any review - then found he was doing a signing with the author Nick Hawkins so went along just to get it signed.
Having a coffee before I realised Morris was at the next table so cheekily asked for an autograph from him and Nick (I had already bought the book at the shop) rather than queue up.

The following half an hour I spent chatting to Morris convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that every word in the book is true - and I would love to spend time with him again to hear the ones he wasn't allowed to publish. He is an absolute gent, so knowledgeable about football as a whole, and Spurs and England that I think a speaking tour would be the next step for him.

The book itself has so much humour and genuine passion it is quite an emotional read at times, but is always held together by the usually humourous annecdotes and stories.

The last chapter echoes my views on the modern game, and sadly why Morris will be the last of his kind, and why it is such a different game today.

This is as much of a football book as The Glory Game, in a slightly different vein, but just as important to read and understand the history of our game.

A must read for any Spurs and England fan, and in real terms, anyone who loves football and a good story.

This was not what I expected at all, and in a good way.
Fantastic image you build in your mind of the man and the footballer, hard not to continually think of Best, but the book holds it together well.
Makes a change from the standard sports biogs and is an excellent reminder of how football used to be.

Really well researched and written biog - covers some uncomfortable areas, not just a happy days form a band book.
Not seen the film yet, but even if you have, you should probably own this book.
