4.0 out of 5 stars Rachel Portman delivers., 19 Mar 2012
This review is from: Never Let Me Go (Audio CD)
Great soundtrack, the music has stayed with me longer than the film. Rachel Portman continues to produce excellent, emotive music for the movies. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent transfer, 25 Aug 2011
Recently purchased this from amazon.ger excellent transfer in correct aspect ratio. I have owned other versions which had awful prints so nice to get a good quality version, tho the film is really only for diehard Bronson completists like myself!

5.0 out of 5 stars great sets, 25 Feb 2011
Great Tom Baker story, the set design is some of the best of this era, much of it was recorded at Elstree, the change in film stock is the giveaway. A geat story from a great season.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack, 21 Jun 2010
This review is from: Midnight Express (Audio CD)
I owned this for years on audio cassette, one of Moroders best soundtracks. I remember renting the film from my local video shop in the mid 80's on RCA Columbia (New World Video, I still miss the shop) it made a powerful impression on me, especially the music. I think its ripe for a brand new release by someone like film score monthy/intrada (are you listening?)

Absence Of Malice [DVD] [1981] [2001]
Dvd ~ Paul Newman

4.0 out of 5 stars Great scene, 10 Oct 2009
I just watched this for the first time, i love the performance of Melinda Dillon, a perfect key supporting role, also Wilford Brimley stealing his scene. Newmans' performances got evan better the older he got,the scene with Sally Field when she visits him after Dillons death is great, snarling angrily into her ear, though their reconciliation seemed very unlikely. Other great Newman performances worth catching from this era include, "Fort Apache,The Bronx" "The Verdict" and a little earlier "Slap Shot"

1.0 out of 5 stars Abysmal picture and audio, 7 Dec 2008
Avoid this boxset, i purchased it recently and suspected the price was too good to be true-it was. Picture and audio is very poor the 2 worst are Chino and Lola, other 2 watchable just. You can buy the films individually on other labels and hopefully they are better quality, don't waste your hard earned money on this boxset, shame as the films are decent additions for any Bronson fans collection.
