... and listen to this amazing cd. No convential stuff here just pitter patter of noises aranged to form some sort of a beat. End result - very catchy indeed. Not for the average fan of 'Dirty' or 'Goo'

FOr a start i was a little annoyed at the pushed back release date of LCS but nontheless i was exstatic when the game arrived on Friday and i have been playing for the legnth of two full BAtteries on the PSP. From a few of the reviews i had read previously i was a little apprehensive about the controls but i found they were easy as you like to get to grips with, no 'get used to it in 30mins' for me. Perhaps that was because i dont own a playstation 2 and hadnt become accustomed to the controls on GTa on that first.
The graphics are Mind Blowing. Attention to detail is the key to sucess of games like these and LCS has it in spades. One minute your cruising along in your car and it astarts to heavily rain and the screen fills up with movement-does the game slow/stall--- Not one bit. I was very impresseed. The first couple of missions are really simple but they get progressivly harder and they are totally different to GTA3 missions, which brings me on to the map. I had only played GTA3 on the pc and so i knew the map really well which came in handy as there was no learning your way around at first, its like return to a place you grew up in.The vehicles are great and the Best one is of course that nippy like Faggio scooter-its great! There seems to be alot more swearing in this game and it is alot stronger than previous titles in the series.
The actually story of the game is good aswell and has enough to make you care about the characters, which is something very hard to do in a game like this.
Well im off to play it now. YOu won't regret buying it. I didn't.

To me this album sounds alot like 'washing machine' but that is not a bad thing atall. While i find 'washing machine' to be a bit monotonous at times, this i find i can listen to repeatedly.
The album opens with a very strong piece, 'pattern recognition' whihch has a strong sense many of the songs on 'Murray Sreet'
I am not going to go through track by track because i think if you're gonna buy this Album, you shoudl make your own mind up about wether you like the 'new' sonic youth sound. If your familiar territory is 'dirty' (grunge) or 'Daydream Nation' (punk) you will find this sound alot different to those 2 albums. This is the sound of the new sonic youth, which they picked up on 'thousand leaves' a more chilled out sound, with alt. tuned guitars and quiet vocals. There is not much of the poetry style vocals that can be found on a few previous releases, but i think it benefits from that.
Stand-out tracks include the awesome' Unmade bed' which you have to hear to appreciate and the brillaint Loud/Quiet Loud/quiet 'new hampshire'
Sonic youth have come a long way from 'confusion is sex' and have created their own unique sound and have proven themselves to be true Avant-garde rockers.
