3.0 out of 5 stars Could be much better considering the price., 20 Dec. 2013

I have other versions of this recording which include the Mobile Fidelity LP and gold cd, an original LP, the HD tracks download, the 2004 sacd and now this Bluray version. LIstening to the vintage LP was probably the best interpretation, as this is not the best recording of rock music out there. Even considering the limitations of the vintage recording technology, the Bluray experience still was less than satisfying. I don't know if they used a multi-generation CD master or it could be the original master tape has shed much high frequency information, but the recording is lifeless. If the original unixed multitrack was still available, the producer should have considered a complete remaster.

I actually like the MFSL gold cd, but if you have a vintage LP pressing, stay with it and move along.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bluray has a good beat and you can dance to it, 23 July 2013

The Rolling Stones are a prolific rock 'n roll music group from the UK who have written and played a number of great songs. When this compilation was released I wanted it. In the US, this set is available as a high-rez download from HDTracks.com. If you were unable to buy the 2002 SACD re-issues of the Rolling Stones, this is the best way to get high-rez version of the Stones on a disk. The only thing I don't like is the liner notes and biographical information is weak and there are few photographs; however, the high-rez purity of sound makes up for it. By the way the is a music only Bluray so if you were looking for video and stuff like that move on to something else.
