Digital Macro & Close-up Photography (Revised and Expanded Edition)
Digital Macro & Close-up Photography (Revised and Expanded Edition)
by Ross Hoddinott
Edition: Paperback
Price: 11.89

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great publication, 5 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Heaps more useful information for the macro addict in the Revised Edition, even if you own the original publication. As usual, Ross explains things very clearly, and the inclusion of the camera settings for each image is always very helpful. Would highly recommend for beginner or experienced alike.

I have been using the Nik collection for a while, helped by the video tutorials, but I avoided Colour Efex Pro, apart from the nd grad, because I never quite came to terms with it. Then I bought this book, and it really has transformed my images. Robin selects the really useful ones and explains them so well.

Just the right size for taking out for a day in the hills, as it fits into backpack which larger sizes don't. Contents stay piping hot all day, even the last cup when I get back to the car! Have already bought another for a friend.

I have been using Photoshop for several years, but still found this a most helpful book containing useful tips I did not know. I only wish it had been around when I started with Photoshop, as it would have made my learning curve much easier! A good book for both beginners and the more experienced, especially at this price.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Landscape Photography Workshop, 8 Oct 2011
In an ideal world you should go on one of Ross and Mark's workshops, but if you can't, the information in this book is the next best thing. It covers all the important points (and many lesser ones) that you need to know for producing excellent landscape shots, whatever your experience, and puts everything so clearly you can't fail to understand what they're saying. It ranges from cameras and filters, through exposure, composition and different types of landscapes, right through to post processing and printing. Brilliant!
