4.0 out of 5 stars Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven Review, 20 Feb 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Heaven (Audio CD)
Rebecca Ferguson - just another wannabe from X Factor - or maybe not. Her unique voice is perfect for recording and the first five tracks on the album really show off her writing skills. However, despite some tracks being pitch-perfect and produced to perfection, the album does have some flaws; 'Diamond to Stone' is over produced and I detest it so much I HAVE to skip it; also the lyrics in 'Run Free' are tiresome and show how new she is to the music industry. But, generally the album is good, not perfect by any means of the imagination, but good.

The best track on the album is the debut single and first track on the album, 'Nothing's Real But Love', the gentle acoustic background really goes well with Rebecca's voice. I love the lyrics:- 'No Money/ no house/ no car can be the love!' So true! :)

Closely followed by 'Nothing's Real But Love' is 'Teach Me How To Be Loved'. I love it and love the piano playing in the song - the violin adds a nice touch and the lyrics are brilliant - five stars.

Other great tracks include new single 'Glitter & Gold' as well as 'Shoulder to Shoulder', 'Fairytale (Let Me Live My Life This Way)', 'Mr Bright Eyes', and second single 'Too Good To Lose'.

Sadly the album is not perfect. Album track 'Diamond To Stone' is simply AWFUL and not worth listening to. Personally, I think that 'Flighting Suspicions' and 'Run Free' are a little dull and 'Run Free''s lyrics are poor, as I have previously said, a sign at how new she is to the industry.

The album is generally very good and definitely worth buying. 4 Star, Rebecca, good job but there is room for improvement, bring on album no.2!

I hope that this review has been useful, remember that this is my personal opinion and others may disagree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Little Netbook, 24 Mar 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Before you read this I would like you to know that this is my own opinion about this Netbook and that others may disagree about what I say.

Samsung are good with netbooks, very good looking and have good keyboards. But other than that they are average. In fact only the NF310, NF110, N220 and N210 really are the Samsung ones which stand out by a mile.

But the NF210 is a different matter. By far the best looking netbook around, and has a very good keyboard. I am typing this review on the brilliant little thing. Yes, it has only 1GB RAM but it only struggles slightly. The hard-drive is fine at 250GB and it offers 3 USB ports. The Dual core (of 1.5GHz) offers a small bump compared to the average netbook and I would estimate it is the equivalent of a 1.95 GHz processor. The screen is average, but the matte finish around it looks very nice. The battery life is not as it says on the label and is about 7 hours. I like the fact it takes a very short time to turn on and be ready.

Now to the cons. The touch-pad is a little to sensitive and I would prefer it to be less sensitive, but you can a just it I just haven't worked it out. It's a shame it doesn't have a HDMI port. Also it is a bit annoying about when you shut the lid it is hard to open again. And finally it struggles to have to many internet pages open.

The only thing I would recommend to get is a RAM upgrade to 2,3,4 or however high it goes GB. Make sure it is DDR3 as it does not like DDR2. Another thing - don't install Norton netbook edition as it hasn't done anything yet and has been more annoying than a help. If you can't get AVG or a full version of Norton get this as a last resort I'm only saying this as it hasn't done anything yet - at least for mine that is.

Thank you for reading my short review.
