2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 14 April 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A disappointing little book with no pictures, which makes understanding the rambling text quite difficult, especially for beginners. Overly long details about the wonders of curing salt, which really isn't necessary and is not used in organic sausages (and they are ok!!)

Good if you want a book which is mostly recipes (and some very obscure ones).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good piece of kit, 28 May 2014

These are quieter and better than my Wahl clippers but that may be because I am better at using them and they are newer. The no.10 blade cuts a bit short for me, so am getting a no.5 for the body - i want my dog trimmed, not shaved!! Even with the extra cost I think they are worth buying rather than Wahl. They need the cool spray too as they get very hot.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't Work on My Dog, 28 May 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Whilst these clip on very well to my new AGC 2-speed clippers and are firm and robust, they don't work on my Working Cocker, who has a long silky coat that lies flat to the skin. If your dog has hair that sticks out, they will be fine, but i found they only really cut evenly if the very flat bits were held away from the skin, which needs three hands really!

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of this item, 11 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
this is the second one of these I have bought for my machine which can read up to three of them. It works fine outside but although it can see it is in the greenhouse which is 30 feet away, it has now stopped giving me a temperature, which was intermittent at best. Naturally it finally packed up after it was 30 days old and past the returns date. Very unreasonable as it is obviously faulty and therefore not fit under the sale of goods act. Tried the old reader and it had the same problem so I wonder if they have some problem with the fact that it is behind glass. Very fed up.

An excellent second novel by this new writer, I found it hard to put down. The plotline is intriguing and the ending superb. Highly recommended...

Brilliant and catch MASSES of flies. Very easy to set up. Bit smelly after a while so don't put it near the house!

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes a Great Teasmade, 26 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Got this to have in our bedroom but we have horrid water so a kettle without a filter was no good. Didnt want a teasmade that glowed in the dark, set off an alarm and made tea when it was set to. Now we can just press a button when WE want to and get instant hot water. It works brilliantly, producing hot water so quickly and with not a hint of funny flavours that other people have mentioned. Keep the reservoir topped up and you dont have to wait for the filter, although ours is not slow. Highest setting produces a decent mug of water too. Brilliant piece of kit! (Individual cartons of milk add to the convenience - check out milk jiggers!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvellous if you can find one, 8 Mar. 2013

Nothing really beats getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing but judging from the colour of the water this sucks up, this comes a very close second and is a lot less physical! Quite difficult to get hold of, but worth it. Much better than a mop anyday!

Update - brushes stopped working two weeks before the machine's first birthday! No idea why but Amazon very happy to replace and i have yet to find anything as good.

This is quite heavy when you first use it and you have to squeeze both the triggers so your hands can get a bit tired at first, but i soon got used to it and am very pleased. Cuts very well and is very quiet. Great having two batteries

I am a great fan of dehumidifiers as they are quiet, efficient and low on energy. So far this one is sucking up water with enthusiasm!
