5.0 out of 5 stars Rock steady, neat, and light as a feather, 27 Nov 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a first rate product for a very specific need. If you want to have a rock steady tripod with all the azimuth and panning mechanisms for holding a heavy professional camera than look elsewhere and also have to expect to haul around a good few kilos of kit. If however you want a really light but strong tripod to improve your picture quality on the go then look no further. This one is a delight. It weighs less than a feather and folds quite neatly. Of course it wont tuck into a trouser pocket, but comes in a natty small bag. It assembles very quickly and is absolutely just the job if you are on the go with a standard weight camera but want to be able to steady a shot at short notice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top quality all rounders but at a top (ish) price, 20 Nov 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A quality set of headphones. But so it should be at the price. Fairly good all round sound with strong bass. Definite feel of quality about them especially the wires which have a more robust and armoured nature. You don't get the impression they would sheer off at the interface as so many others have done. They come nicely boxed with a soft bag and a selection of replacement ear pieces so it is easy to find one that fits you perfectly.
These are probably as good as it gets for the price and to be fair you wouldn't want to be paying much more. The only gripe would be the cost. Don't leave them on the train in in your pockets when washing your kit!

4.0 out of 5 stars Better (Much) than average time travel novel. A different take on it, 20 Nov 2014
Top notch time travel novel. Very clever concepts and excellent story line. No time wasted with explanations of how it is done and why to such a selective few but all the better for that. After the first half of the book explaining what Harry August is (not the why), the next half is a battle of wits with a cunning and clever adversary. I don't think I would have had the tenacity to go the last life or so in the book and would have sought a more secure and less risky permanent solution to the problem but it kept you guessing all the way to the end. - Excellent stuff. A bit of the Iain M Banks in its cleverness.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good choice among many, 3 Nov 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This product is a good choice among the many that are available.
Every time I shop for dog food I am confronted with a multitude of choices regarding this genre of dog food. For the same quantity of product the costs vary from around £8 to £26. I am not altogether sure what the real differences are and of course I have no intention of trying them personally to see which I prefer! I have to rely on my dog's ability to make a "choice".
I do not have a greedy dog. Any dog food put in front of say a Labrador would last a few seconds. My dog only eats when hungry, would much sooner eat what we eat and will hold out (mostly in vain) in the hope of getting what we have. So a bowl topped up in the morning may still be uneaten late at night. I therefore have a slender yardstick to use in gauging what is and is not popular with my dog. Some foods are only eaten reluctantly, some are eaten enthusiastically for a few days and then become less interesting. This particular brand seems as popular as any she has had. It is at a good price and I would buy more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best in Class for the average small buisiness, 13 Oct 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have been using Quicken products for 20 years plus and I have used the last four QuickBooks as published in sequence. This is not that different from the last iteration with the exception of Pay Role enhancements and a general tidying up of cosmetic presentation. It is however excellent at what it does and if you have a small to middling business it will do absolutely everything you want. If you are small you may wish your accountant to advice on the naming and use of payment categories so that you automatically claim your tax in the correct order and by using acceptable categories you stand a better chance of them being accepted as is. If you are good at this you wont need to ask anyone and once set up you are good to go year after year. If you have the last release you need not get this one, If your QuickBooks is any older or you do not use a computer driven accounting program then this is the one for you.
Simple (as it could be), powerful, and does exactly what you want it to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value alternative to Photoshop Elements, 6 Oct 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Excellent value alternative to Photoshop Elements

Although this is a suite of programs you will never use some of them such as Corel Capture (built into Windows already in most respects) and a font editing program - I am not sure why they are included. What is good about the remaining Paint and Photoshop equivalents is a very good graphics suite indeed for the price, and lets face it Corel have been doing it for a very long time even if they have seemed to have faded somewhat from the main players. They are definitely back in the game with this one however and what will help them on their way is the very good Video Tutorials built in to help with the inevitable steep learning curves involved. If enough users go for this great value package and it catches on we shall again see Corel in the ascendancy. It does everything that Photoshop Elements does with some minor variations in both directions. It does it much cheaper!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value indispensible tool, 24 Sep 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a very good all rounder in the multi chopping food processor line up. It does everything you would expect from a relatively compact unit and will cope with 90% plus of your everyday needs. I have taken to using a mixer (Kenwood Chef) for some but not all of the work done by this type of machine but this is fiddly as specific units need to be found and fitted. This Hotpoint Multi Functional unit may make me revisit my use of a mixer as it is already set up for use (other than choosing the correct cutter). Easy to use and clean. Good safety interlock - it absolutely wont work unless everything is 100% in correct place and locked in. My slight niggling worry is about long term robustness but at the price does this matter? Time will tell. Veg slicer slices very thin, excellent if that is how you want your slices not if you want thicker slices - use a mandolin. Could have a dedicated storage box/holder to make it easier on cupboard space but all in all a very good value item

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent peice of kit that does exactly what it should do without fuss or great weight/size, 4 Sep 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A gem of a portable battery back up. This is a truly good piece of kit - and will serve your needs 90% of the time. It is very small and light with smooth round edges about the size of a short cigar and therefore makes taking it anywhere very easy. It charges quickly from any USB point and is self explanatory to use, and it also has a handy torch light. This is an excellent device for a ladies handbag but slightly less use for men who do not have a bag to keep it in. It's capacity is somewhat similar to your phone and will charge it or supplement it for a fair bit of time, definitely sufficient to sort you out if you have neglected to charge your device until you reach a charging point. It did not have enough "Juice" to charge my IPad like device but it held it neutrally for a few hours - this is as much as you should expect from such a small device. Ultimately its usefulness depends on how good you are at charging you phone - if you forget or are away from a charging point for a long time this device will work wonders. If you never run out of charge it won't do much for you.
All in all an excellent little bit of kit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbeatable value for money in a Smart Phone. Nokia/Windows have got this just right, 4 Sep 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Top notch smart phone for a very good price.
I have been going through smartphone like there will be no tomorrow. Four in as many months. I used a IPhone for years and wanted to try something different and have had three Windows phones - I would never go back to an IPhone after using a Windows phone. I find it so much cleaner to use with a bigger brighter picture and good use of icons. Less Apps than an IPhone but nearly all the better Apps you would want. This particular example (Nokia 630) is an exemplary phone and really very good value for money. It must be among the very best smartphones for the price - unbeatable.
