Belkin iPhone 3GS Bodyguard Halo Case - Clear/Caviar (With Removable Base For Dock-Ability)
Belkin iPhone 3GS Bodyguard Halo Case - Clear/Caviar (With Removable Base For Dock-Ability)

4.0 out of 5 stars I've accidently dropped it and protection was good, 2 Jan. 2010
I dropped my iphone phone from about hip height on to gravel ground. It bounced and everything was fine. This might be due to the extended lip that rises just above the iphone face. To avoid the screen protector lifting, attach it before enclosing the iphone plastic casing. It hasn't lifted for me. The rubber on/off and volume buttons do ease with time, but not to the point of accidental pressing. A robust simple product. It loses 1 star for not sitting in my sony stereo well. Can keep the case on whilst using the USB charger. Great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Entertaining Page Turner, 3 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Copycat (MIRA) (Paperback)
This is a book that is a great "what will happen next" read. It is not so complicated that you have to keep turning or thinking back to the clues and info mentioned before hand in order to keep pace with the story. When my head was tired from studying academic books and I want to avoid soap opera on TV, this is the one that both intrigued and relaxed me. This is a mild psychological thriller detective story. I got a glimpse into a recovering alcoholic mind that is trying to slot back into society and deal with competitive, young nubile minds. Solving crimes whilst dealing with entwined relationships. This book is not twisted enough to give you nightmares and not too romantically sizzling or sloppy to feel as if you've heard it all before. Based on this book, I am intrigued to read more of Erica Spindler talent. Thanks for unwinding my head Erica.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little repetative, 16 Sept. 2008
This must be great for those under the age of 11. Not so great for the 'mature student' looking for a good alternative to 'Brain Training' type of games.

Upon finishing each practice session you have to get through a few screens of repeating dialogue which can sound condescending to the grown ups. That said, the training looks deceptively simple and is challening enough to improve visuo spatial skills alongside speed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment with business power, 16 Sept. 2008
This is a great price for the specification of a laptop. However, it is oversized and I can't find a laptop bag big enough. However, if you are looking for a computer that has the power of the desktop but takes up less space on the table, this will do the job well.

Graphics and sound are amazing. I particularly like the feel of the keyboard and the fact that it has a calculator style number pad to the left of the keyboard. This is wonderful if you are manipulating alot a figures and need quick data entry.

I've been running several office programs, a graphics program and the internet all at once. The machine doesn't even seem to slow down when high graphic programs are through at it. This laptop is a real athlete with crackin' looks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Social Sciences or Psychology at Uni? Read or Re-read this book!, 25 Sept. 2007
If you need to crank up your mind to think outside the box in a university subject, this novel will help. My college lecturer said "If you haven't read 1984 before you get to university DO SO!" So I did, out of sheer curiosity.

Everyone has written about the story line and the style. Here is the practical comment.

When you read this book, imagine you are writing it just after WWII and the technology, politics and the way society operated then. At the same time think about how things are now. I was freeked out, pleasantly. The author must have been some kind of a prophet. For example, satellite tv knows what you are watching, when you watch it, categorises your type of viewing. They are watching you watching them - similar to the happenings of 1984. The novel describes a language that is similar to the texting language we use today. Are we heading for a society described in 1984?

A good debate to help you get into the right frame of mind for sociology, psychology and criminology.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Murder Mystery I've read, 22 Jan. 2006
An easy entertaining book which can be read at a pace or dawdled over. First book I've read in 20 years from cover to cover and couldn't wait to turn the next page. No intellectual analysis required. As entertaining as a someone telling an entangling web of a story in person.
I've never really bothered with fiction. Never had the time. I was attracted to Agatha Christie through a TV documentary saying that her style of writing was perfect for pleasure if you are feeling a bit low. They were right. I'm hooked. I've managed to find time to just sit and relax. Alot can be learned about the author's personal real life experience.
