5.0 out of 5 stars Great for travelling Ryanair, 6 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Cabin Zero (Misc.)
I travel quite a lot with Ryanair and so a good bag is essential to keep costs down. It fits a lot in if you pack carefully and gets through their check in. It doesn't,t weigh a lot when empty, which lets me get more into it. It just fits under the seat on the plane, if not filled to bursting and the straps on it are tightened. So far no problems with it, next year hope to use it a lot more, if he keeps his costs down, and will give a more detailed review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin, 6 Dec 2013

I was a bit sceptical after reading the negative reviews, but took the plunge and so far had no problems. Easy to set up and works well. Modem is about 15 foot away from PC and it,s better than having cables along the floor.

4.0 out of 5 stars TomTom map, 5 Jun 2009
I needed to upgrade my TomTom Go map as i found that i was driving down roads which were fields on the satnav. So i went for this one. there are a couple of mistakes on the map, went down a road which is blocked to vehicles, but there is a road there, so probably understandable and on another occasion got lost in a housing estate. It is good though finding alternate routes quickly and has lots of features to play with, the audible warning for speed cameras ,when on the M42 is bloody annoying ,but so are the amount of speed cameras .
Amazon was the cheapest place to buy this map, but if you all ready have an older version of the western Europe map i have since found it cheaper to go to the TomTom web. site and upgrade your current map via the internet directly with them.

A Dog's Life
A Dog's Life

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny French dog, 5 Jun 2009
This review is from: A Dog's Life (Paperback)
After reading some of Peter Mayle's other books and finding them pleasant to read thought i would give this one a try. I love france and have dogs so it should be a safe bet that i would enjoy it.
Mayle writes the book through the eyes of the Dog, Boy. It is amusing, some parts made me laugh out loud, there are the usual cliches in french books, but any one who has spent time over there should identify with them. If you like dogs or france you will enjoy this latest offering from Mayle, if you like both then you shouldn't go wrong.

1.0 out of 5 stars I must be missing something !!!!!!!!!!, 1 April 2009
I bought this because after 25 years plus my faithful Technics turntable finally packed up and i didn't think it was worth repairing. So after reading other reviews decided to give the Steepletone a go. Even though others had said you need to put blue tack on to stop the needle skating across the record and that there was no base, after seeing that it got 5 stars by some people i gave it a go.I wish i hadn't ,it's annoying the hell out of me,it jumps ,it skates, the sound is awful. Luckily i kept the rest of the Technics system so i can play it through that and get a decent sound, but am still trying to get the correct amount of blue tack to stop it jumping. It wasn't that cheap either. I am now looking for a decent turntable again, but will take more notice of reviews and not the star rating.........

4.0 out of 5 stars Aveyron in the twenties, 24 Feb 2009
I have read too many books about expat,s living in France, but this one makes a pleasant change. It was written in the 20's and the language used is delightful, not only does the book give an insight to how life was in Aveyron, but also how English was spoken back then. Their observations are slightly imperialistic ,but this adds to the charm.Life in rural France must have been hard for the locals, but they still had time to enjoy food, wine and festivals and the author shows this in the book.
I have been to South west France recently and it was nice to see how things have changed from when the authors were there, however the french attitude to life still remains the same.
We could learn from them how to enjoy life and not just work, work, work.

4.0 out of 5 stars laptop sleeve, 24 Feb 2009
Nice black sleeve, fits my 17" laptop in and keeps it protected, but remember it's only a sleeve ,so the leads won't fit in as well. 17.4" may be a tight fit though, but i've not tried so can't really say.

I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle [DVD]
I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle [DVD]
Dvd ~ Neil Morrissey
Offered by babsbargains *** WORLDWIDE SHIPPING ***
Price: £19.99

5.0 out of 5 stars posessed Norton, 24 Feb 2009
If your into serious horror, this ain't for you. It's some of the cast of Boon in a comedy horror.Elphic and Morrissey are great. The effects are so bad that they're hilarious,(remember it isn't a modern film )the "turd" had me in stitches. The "Bad" bikers are some bikers dragged off the street and they just add to the sense of fun of a low budget, mickey taking DVD. If you like bikes and have a strange sense of humour, then it's for you.
