Flipbac FBG2 Camera Grip for Point & Shoot Digital Cameras
Flipbac FBG2 Camera Grip for Point & Shoot Digital Cameras

4.0 out of 5 stars A niche product but it does the job., 15 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A niche product. You either need one or you don't, but if you do it does the job. To give an idea of size it fits my Canon S110 perfectly.

Perhaps a little expensive but it looks very neat. It took about a month to arrive from Japan

Not anything like as well made as the grips made by Richard Franiec out of aluminium (this is plastic with a rough texture) but I suppose that makes it lighter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb and better than Tom Tom, 23 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Superb little Sat-Nav, vastly better than the previous Tom Tom I had for three days. This is better made with better features

Bursting with useful features like being able to use it as a hands-free for your phone (which I don't have in my car), a lovely capacitive touch screen, voice control that works well and free updates to maps and traffic, you can't go wrong for the price

Make sure you reboot your Windows pc though once you have connected the sat nav to Garmin Express, it hung the pc until I did that, after that no issues

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable but poor from 200-300mm, 11 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good value lens (I bought the Canon mount) and good image stabilisation, but like all lenses of this cost and type, very poor between 200-300mm, noticeably less sharp, lacking contrast and showing softness at all apertures. From 70-200mm not bad at all. But no better than the Canon 70-300IS.

1.0 out of 5 stars A truly great beer ruined by political correctness, 15 April 2016
Why oh why pander to the politically correct lobby and change a classic for this new thinned out fizz (in the jazzy new cans). A great beer, brewed for Churchill has been vasectomised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good upgrade from the G1X and the best image quality available from a compact, 20 Jan. 2016
A seriously well specified compact camera that produces simply superb files for it's size.

As a happy G1X owner I was looking to see if the next model would improve upon the first and it does. Not only with the wider, longer, faster, sharper lens, but also in usability. You can set the camera up in all sorts of ways to adjust settings on the fly, with a full time histogram for exposure (or not as you please). The two rotating lens dials are just brilliant once you've set them up.

It's not a camera for beginners, it's complex to get the best out of your RAW files and the camera is really not small or pocketable (but neither was version 1, which was actually lighter) but for a dslr quaity camera with a superb zoom range it's the best out there by a long way. It's a huge shame it hasn't a built in accurate viewfinder though.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok, a little underwhelming compared to the competition, 17 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As a 7D and 5D3 owner I was hoping for a little more from a camera several years newer but that's not really what I found.

It's a good, capable APS-C dslr, there's no doubt of that but is the image quality any better than the 7D? Well no not really. Perhaps at very high ISO's it's a tiny bit cleaner but for several years development the Canons are still miles behind the Nikons and Sonys. You also lose some of the AF functions, some speed, one axis of the in-camera level and a lot of weathersealing. You gain things like Wifi and a tilting screen that's awkward to get out.

If you aren't invested in the Canon system as I am I would look elsewhere, but as an upgrade to a Rebel or similar, it's ok, not stunning in any way (except possibly video which I don't use) but I'm underwhelmed, sadly, as I love Canon.
