Mediocre, but not that bad., 8 Aug 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Pros: Challenging (in a good way), Strange sort of appeal, moments of fun can be had, Scoring system fair- awards and detracts points based on the quality of your driving e.g whether you use indicators or whether or run red lights or not. Based on the demo, I think it would take a fair amount of time to finsih, there are five different tiers, each with six different missions which vary in difficulty. Replay value good, as at the end of the mission it tots up all the bonuses and points you have scored during the mission and puts it on a leaderboard-means you may try to beat your score. Lots of Variety.
Cons: Graphics OK, but looks like something from 10 years ago (but it does the best with what it can), Sound alright, but on my demo there was a complete lack of any engine noise whatsoever which was disapointing.
As well as this, even the game dosen't have complex graphics or is incredibly long, the framerate was a tad choppy on my computer (brand-new)
Last point, for sequels or patched versions (if there will be any) PLEASE MAKE JOYSTICK/STEERING WHEEL/MOUSE compatible. The lack of mouse useage particualry rankles, it's though I've lost a limb. Final final point, there is no in-cab view, whci hdetracts from the realism, all you have is the standard third person view from behind the bus.
Overall-OK, the developers obviously made the most out of a limited game, It's all right but it could be improved.
