Quality British Thrash...
What more can I say. Another quality find, had the pleasure of seeing these guys live a couple of times and this doesn't even touch that...
I do love this cd, it's old Skool thrash I Like to think they have carried on the Thrash legacy that Slayer started, before they slowed down and dos tuned.
There are good quality songs here, catchy powerful lyrics, thundering drums and fast hard guitars.
The vocals remind me of early slayer too.
This is a great thrash band.
Check out the cd, buy it.
Then go see them do this live.... Truly amazing

Amazing band. How have I not discovered these earlier?
This is the best of their offerings so far. It's got a better production bringing in a heavier guitar sound which compliments the music.
How can I describe these guys?
They do sound like Among The Living Era Anthrax, their faster stuff is in the vein of Death Angel, Nuclear Assault(with better vocals) ,Xentrix and Witchery.
Not much in the way of blistering solos, but the riffs are heavy on the down picking and real tight riffs. Great catchy songs. The vocalist does sound like Mike Muir in places but this sounds really great.
The digi pak has 2 extra tracks.
My face tracks are Team Dead and Civilized to death.
If you like good thrash check those 2 tracks out and buy this.
They have yet to play the uk... Buy hopefully soon and I will be there...

4.0 out of 5 stars DT Doing Metallica Really Well, 15 Feb. 2016
This is a really great cd, I love it. I will explain the just 4 stars tho shortly.
Story behind it- So my mega Dream Theater fans tell me DT toured with Metallica. Lots of interviews at the time asking Metallica what it was like having the musical virtuosity that is DT opening for them.
The drummer finally got sick of it and said DT r good at what they do, but they couldn't do what we do, couldn't play our stuff.
This enraged DT fans who brought this to the bands attention through their site.
So last night of the tour DT asked Metallica to watch them as they wanted to thank them for the tour, then played this after spending a few days learning the stuff.
True or not who knows?
This is a real good live show, guitar sound is very heavy(my buddy who believes Metallica can do no wrong said he wished Metallica had this great guitar tone live),
Interesting that Petrucci like Hammett was a disciple of Joe Satriani, but Hammett struggles to do these solos live and Petrucci struggles to slow down to play some of the solos.
It's great to hear the keyboard solos interchange with the guitar, and musically this is as tight as u would expect from DT.
Definately a cd for the DT fans more than Metsllica ppl.
It loses the star mainly for the dodgy vocals, according to the biography La Brie had strained his voice and needed a year to get it sorted.
He is okay now, but this is before he sorted it, so really struggles at points, and really lets this down.
Orion main riff isn't quite right and it bugs me as I love and play that song a lot myself so know it ain't right.
This was available through the Dream Theater bootleg official site, and if u live and love DT it really is a fantastic thing to own.
Many you tube clips of John playing Damage Inc. If u like that it's certainly worth purchasing it.
Apart from the dodgy vocals it's a brilliant cd.
Amazing musicians at their best doing these songs some real justice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fills in some gaps - and lots of extra stuff not in the Film... So far, 23 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I loved the new film, yeah annoyed about the stuff that was similar- Death Star- trench- info left in droid- abandoned on a barren sand world.
(Complete nerds may pick up things like in Knights Of The Old Republic- Sith Lords - Kiera says Jedi who have children often abandon them to try and free them.
It was a great feel good old Skool Star Wars film. And I hear they re-write episode 8 to fit in the new characters.
Enough ramblings- this book is well written and does include more information. Thinks either cut out or just not put in the film.
Little things like Rey asking for more pay for the droid just to annoy the guy.
How Fin gets out the tie fighter
What happened to Poe after the crash.
A bit more info when Han shows up.
Leia sending someone to the republic planets who dies there.
Extra dialogue between characters.
Don't know if these will appear in the Directors cut?
C3 P0 annoyed that he didn't activate the long range tracker on BB8 before he left so they couldn't track the droid.
All interesting stuff not in the film, that if you live and love Star Wars certainly adds things to the plot and you will want to add.
I got the hardcover with pictures, the captions are written a bit like if you were 5 maybe? And some nice pictures.
If you love Star Wars you will probably have this, I think the extra bits make it a worthwhile read and a bit more in depth character stuff is all good stuff.
Written by Alan Dean Foster ( who wrote Splinter Of The Minds Eye- where Luke and Leia... Hmn)
So read be enlightened and get more background and story than the film puts out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Probably the best since Endgame, 23 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dystopia (Audio CD)
After the last awfull cd Dave has stepped it up again, the starting 3 tracks they released really grew on me and set the tone.
Usual Mustaine thing- get great new guitarist in then release more attempts and radio friendly stuff till talented guitarist leaves from lack of use- repeat cycle.
It's a well produced sound and certainly heavy.
They recorded 15 tracks for this album.
Only 11 are on this cd ( can't complain as it was only £5 on Amazon)
I tunes version has 13 tracks
Look who's talking
Last dying wish
Being the extra 2
I expect the Budgie cover and the other track will be only the Japanese version only?
Definitely a much better Megadave this time tho still not convinced this new guy is better than Broderick.
Time will tell if he breaks the usual cycle of radio friendly follow ups

This is a really cool thang. Very comfortable to wear, a good quality screen print. Nothing cheap or nasty. The material is very soft and warm and was the envy of the office wearing it

5.0 out of 5 stars Works on my 360- good times, 13 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great stuff.
Got this for my 360 and was slightly worried about whether it would be compatible or not.
I was prompted for an update when I put it in, and when I downloaded that the game ran fine.
Got old Skool fun.
If you buy it for a 360 just make sure you have a live account and are online to get the upgrade and you should have many hours of fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not For The Faint Hearted, Disturbing And Gory!!! :-), 10 Sept. 2009
Wow, what can i say. It's definatley my favourite of Lucio Fulc's films. I do love the Zombie films he did but this is just a bit more of a shocker.
It is a disturbing gorefest about the police trying to track down a serial killer who bizarrely does speak with a 'Donald Duck' voice. It's a good take on all those Starsky and Hutch, Streets of San Fransisco old cop programmes but with that psychotic violent edge to it.
The killing scenes are awesomly graphic and the sound effects just add that extra edge of shock. It will appaul some people with the very anti-women kinda killing, the killer is very angry against women and really takes it out on them. The gore is of course old school and not always too convincing but with the brilliant camera work and soundtrack and sound effects it makes a very sick and enjoyable horror film for me. It's up there with Argento's 'Opera' as one of my faves.

If you like sick old a bit gory films then you should enjoy this. Yeah for sure it's nowt like his zombie flicks but it's a really well done film for it's day, and one that will offend and appaul some, which is why we love it just that bit more. :-D

5.0 out of 5 stars Rarities and Unreleased stuff from Megadave, 8 Sept. 2009
This review is from: Megadeth Best of (Audio CD)
This is an essential purchase for Megadeth fans, well the real fans.

It has B-sides to older singles, and various tracks that were on movie soundtracks, saves you buying all the motion picture albums (unless you are me and had them already).

You have 'No More Mr Nice Guy', the cover of the Alice cooper classic with added Mustaine solo. 'Breakpoint' and 'Go To Hell' from the symphony of destruction single or off Super Mario brothers & bill and teds bogus journey( it use to be called Bill And Ted Go To Hell.hense the name of the song).
The outstanding 'Angry Again' from last action hero,'99 Ways to die' from Beavis and Butthead movie soundtrack.
'Paranoid' from some Sabbath tribute album, Nativity in black i think.
'Diadems' from Tales from the crypt.
'Problems' which is exclusive to this release, and to be honest isn't very good at all.

This was released initially as a bonus cd with the album 'Youthanasia' before being released on it's own much later.

If you are a total Rattlehead try and get the Japanese version. You get 4 Extra tracks.
1) A Tout Le Monde
2) Symphony Of Destruction (Demo). It's quite a bit longer and still has Dave's guitar solo in it, which they occasionally play live.
3) Architecture Of Aggression (Demo). Really cool with a slightly different solo from Marty.
4) New World Order (Demo)... This is awesom, originally recorded for Youthanasia (like Vortex and F.F.F) but dropped as it was too fast and heavy for the album. It never made it onto any Megadave album, i don't know why as it's such a good song. Very Rust in Peace era sounding song. This is slightly different from the version released in the Warchest Box.

An awesome cd, essential for Megadave fans who must have everything, and some great tracks for fans of Megadeth...
What are you waiting for,....Buy it!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Hi Caramba..Their Worst One Yet!!!!, 6 Jun. 2009
This review is from: Blooddrunk (Audio CD)
Good grief this is awfull!!!

I loved C.O.B since i first heard 'Hatebreeder',i really loved the energy, the intensity of it all and the blinding guitar work,it's something the band haven't even come close to ever reproducing again. And i don't ever think they will.

This album is kinda similar to 'Are You Dead Yet',but not quite as good. The first 2 tracks are ok,but it's all kinda samey to me.Nothing that will blow you away,no 'downfall' or 'Hatebreeder' here.

The guitar solo's just get shorter and it sounds like they are just goin through the motions.

Maybe they try to sell more being really stripped down songs but i know they can do much better than this, they have way better albums to listen to than this.Bring back the screaming guitar and keyboard solo's and the energy you once had..this just don't cut it for me at all.

If you want to check out C.O.B. for the first time try live in stockholm, hatebreeder or Hate crew death roll...don't start with this!!!!!
