5.0 out of 5 stars Pocket size reference book, 6 April 2010
Ratios. I hate them. But being a trainee accountant, they are part of the University Module of Accounting, and I found this book brilliant, pocket size, with every ratio explained.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh no .... It's terrible!, 6 April 2010
This review is from: Gangster No. 1 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I wouldn't bother. I went on the review in Amazon and like British Movies normally, but this was terrible. Over violent, and little story. If I was you I would stick to 'Rise of the Footsoldier'.

Business Law
Business Law

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good informative reference book, 6 April 2010
This review is from: Business Law (Paperback)
I had to buy this for a law module of a University course, but have found it very informative and written in plain speaking English. It is a very good reference book whether you are studying or just want to brush up on your rights.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh No .... It's bad. Worse than bad ......, 25 Mar. 2010
This review is from: Green Street 2 [DVD] (DVD)
I quite liked Green Street, even though the casting was pretty dodgy what with Frodo Baggins as a football hooligan and that other guy from Queer as Folk trying his hardest to do a cockney accent but sounding more like he was having his back end banged.
But this film is just so bad. Hardly any story, poor dialogue, and only one member of the original Green Street gang in the film, whose voice gets on your nerves as it's a high pitched squeak as soon as the film starts. Plus, he is no hooligan.
Green Street 2 isn't about football really. It's about making a sequel to a film that wasn't that good to make a sequel to.
Don't waste your money; It's already on sky.

You Can Run But You Can't Hide
You Can Run But You Can't Hide

4.0 out of 5 stars Very American but good, 17 April 2009
I like the TV show 'Dog the bounty hunter'. His book looks at his life from when he was a boy, through his teenage biker days, his life in prison and finally to his bounty hunting. It's no holds barred stuff, but very American. What I mean by that is, kind of over exagerated and very hollywood. If his book was a film it would be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and starring Sylvester Stallone as Dog.
If you can overlook that, read the book; it's a cracker.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not quite up to Scratch, 13 July 2007
This review is from: Outlaw [DVD] (DVD)
I saw this film in the cinema and was very disappointed. The idea is excellent, and it could have been taken a lot further. But Nick Love just doesn't hit the button with his direction or script that seems to have been written on the back of a matchbox. Despite some fine actors; Bob Hoskins and Sean Bean, it appears just to be an excuse for violence with no story. And we were back to the old 'I'm dreaming' Danny Dyer; a storyline used once before in the Football Factory. Back to the drawing board, Mr Love! Quickly I would say.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 17 Feb. 2006
MD never really took off, but I use MD players for recording and performing. This Sony product allows me to transfer tracks from PC to MD at the touch of the button, in superquick time. Sony helpdesk helped me download new software in order that I could transfer WMA files as well as MP3, as the software for WMA file transfer is not included. But apart from this small mishap, the product gives outstanding performance and crystal clear sound.
