Read this book shortly after a visit to Venice and it provided a fascinating insight into daily life in the city and also some of the clear problems that the resident population are facing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 23 Dec 2013
A fabulous account of Wimbledon 2013 plus all that had been done to make it happen. The book is also packed with great (and relevant ) photos.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 3 Feb 2013
I'm a huge fan of Richie mcCaw but was left disappointed by this. It was more like a series of match reports than an autobiography. Still think he is a great player though and wish he was Scottish!

Enjoyed the book but found it a little heavy going at times. The end seemed a bit predictable but well written and well thought out characters

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great read from AMS, 16 Aug 2009

This review is from: Corduroy Mansions (Hardcover)
Being a great fan of the 44 Scotland Street series, I was worried that Corduroy Mansions may be an anti-climax. I needn't have worried! Whilst there was no character who quite grabbed me like Bertie (!) the characterisations were wonderful and again it was a book full of thought, kindness and characters you came to love or hate.
