4.0 out of 5 stars Great - but bed them in before you go on holiday, 30 Jun. 2012
I like these shoes, if your thinking of getting a pair for holiday, get them a few weeks before you go as they take a few days to mould to your foot, in the mean time you can get a little rubbing and blisters, that said its worth it as they are the most comfortable shoes I have had, a bit more up market than the plastic alternative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, works a treat, 30 Jun. 2012

First off, yes it works! I had a stone before this and was never sure I was selecting the correct angle, I have a set of Global knives and when they are sharp they are fantastic, this device does a great job of bringing the knife back to life, t takes a little more than suggested to get it back into shape, but a few minutes once a week and you will never have a blunt knife again. Resist the temptation to press down hard onto the stones, its not required, also remember to put a little water into devise before you start, that's about it, easy to use, easy to clean and sharp knives, cant go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Maps, Great for a long weekend, 30 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The French Riviera is a lot of ground to cover and this book tries its best to give a taste of many of the favourites and some lesser-known spots. It was my first trip to the area so a good guidebook was a must, especially as it was just for a long weekend. There is enough detail in the book to give you a flavour of an area and to help you decide if it's interesting, good pictures and a great removable map.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish and it works!, 30 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased this as a gift for a friend who was getting into wine, moving up from £5 bottles of plonk to something a bit more sophisticated, it's a nice looking piece of table art, comes with a handy little guide to let you know what temperature to serve your wine, (varies more than I thought) It only functions when wrapped around a bottle so the battery should last for an age, expensive for what it is, but you are paying for the design as much as the thermometer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Warm but slightly scary, 30 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
There is a possibility that if you pop on this little number and hang around outside your local bank that your intentions may be misinterpreted, telling the local police that you are cold and just like to keep your head warm just doesn't wash, before you know it your handcuffed with your hands behind your back being manhandles into the back of a van, if that's your thing, great, go enjoy, but your probably on the wrong web site. If you just like a warm and cosy head on a cold winters night, then you wont go far wrong, (as I explained to the officer) but take it off when you get home as it scares the wife.

4.0 out of 5 stars A step up from the user guide, 30 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased the D60 about a year ago and gave up on the user manual, I managed to work out the basics, but missed some of the old features I was used to using with a standard film based SLR. I knew the features were packed in there someplace; this book has helped me to locate and use some great features. If you are new to photography and the D60 this is a great guide, taking you through the features of the camera and some useful stuff on general photographic technique.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but fiddly control, 21 Oct. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Looks good and the light works well, only gripe would be the controls, when you get used to them its OK, but find that Phillips do overcomplicate the control units on their products . Sound quality is Ok and it looks great. Not too sure on the benefits of the light, but its not unpleasant!

5.0 out of 5 stars A must Have, 21 Oct. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a must have for backpackers or travellers to Australia, the recommendations are fair, the detail just enough for you to make a decision plus its comprehensive. I used it for planning accommodation and a route, also followed the recommendations for a few trips and was not disappointed. This is not a travel book but a definitive guide that you can quickly dip into and back out.
