Another superb novel from Connelly, a really well put together, suspenseful story that was a joy to read and a real struggle to put down. I've read every single one of his books and every one leaves me waiting impatiently for the next!

3.0 out of 5 stars A disappointing end to the journey, 29 Aug 2013

WARNING - SPOILER CONTAINED

Overall a fairly good read with a good story with various threads running throughout that all tie together at the end (especially the prospect of him possibly having a daughter). Having read all the reacher books I must say I feel a little cheated at all the waiting over the last few books that lead up to this.

The book is something of a 110th reunion with Reacher teaming up with Susan Turner to investigate and clear both their names and unravel the conspiracy. The action is lacking a little, the conspiracy when revealed doesn't blow you away with excitement and the ending comes across as as if Lee couldn't be bothered writing any further and is pretty poor in my opinion.

Overall I still enjoyed the book being a die hard Reacher fan but the journey to get here from what started in 61 hours didn't really seem like one worth taking

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent prequel to the Bowers files, 14 May 2013

A great story giving an insight into the past of main protagonist Patrick Bowers and some other familiar names from the series. As a story I actually found it more engrossing than some of the previous ones. Excellent read

An ok read..... could have been done so much better though given the storyline, I felt it struggled at times to hold my interest. Still, quite enjoyable

An excellent read. A very well thought out and intricate plot with lots of twists that leaves you guessing. A bit tricky to follow in parts as the story changes rapidly between past and present but I thoroughly enjoyed this.
