This review is from: The Railway Man [DVD] (DVD)
I certainly agree with most of the comments ,but nothing at all can portray the agonising criminality that can be imposed by one human being on another human given the conditions that prevailed at the time of the Far Eastern War. Saying that ,I read the first edition of this book. It affected me so much that I was reduced to tears when I finished reading it. The conclusion of the railway man himself who was able to show that forgiveness is always possible even though one may not always forget. I am sure that the actors / actresses have done their best, but one needs to experience the horrors of that period to completely understand what exactly occurred. Byron Evans
