i used to own and totally loved my samsung yp-u2 2gb. time for a new one but didn't fancy the touch screen one, so decided upon this one as i was definitely going to use the fitness option which was not on the yp-u2.
it comes with a silicone case. this is useful.
the headphones could be better but only because when i am jogging they do tend to fall out of my ears as i do not like to put the covers on them, but i suppose they are there for a reason.
the look is ok - much prefer my yp-u2 - it was sleek. this just is. (i have the red).
sound & volume are fine and the dnes is standard.
fitness mode is quite useful with an accurate match for calorie counting. you can set it for walk 1 or 2, run 1 or 2 or yoga, hiking or cycling modes. it also keeps track of your daily performances.
my yp-u2 did not have a radio, so i am please about this and the reception is excellent.
i have not used data casts or the voice recorder, and probably won't either.
i am happy with the price for the 4gb as i paid more than that a long time ago for my yp-u2 2gb.
i did not use the installation cd to get my music on - i simply stuck it in the usb and dragged and dropped my tracks - i much prefer this method.
the battery life is greater and lasts a good while.
if you are likely to reach maximum storage there is a file on your U5 that it will tell you to delete to make more space.
the display is clear enough, although wish it was a little bigger.
that's it from me. nothing bad to report.
