The best biography on Hitler that I have ever read. Truly outstanding and absolutely essential reading for anyone wishing to study this most evil creature.

Easily the most gripping and informative history of the Third Reich that I have ever read. Astonishing in its detail.

I bought this album back in '73 when it was first released by CBS after Dylan had left the label. It was widely viewed then as an act of revenge by the label in response to what they presumably perceived as disloyalty by the artist. It was universally panned by the critics and I have often wondered why. Certainly, it was no masterpiece and most ,if not all, of the tracks were probably never recorded with any intention to release them. Having said that, there is nothing on this collection that is awful (apart from his duet with George Harrison on "Yesterday")and it certainly outpunches some of the rubbish he released in the '80's. If this album had never been released back then but was to be distributed now as part of the ongoing "Bootleg Series", I wonder if the press reaction would be quite as negative today. I suspect not.

this is a very poor senseless publication..not worthy of the genius that is dylan...regurgitated articles and mindless critiques put together in a very sloppy way...total waste of time and money...buy scaduto or heylin..don't waste your time with this rubbish.

I've loved Dylan since my schooldays in the 60's and have even defended his so-called "bad" work...i.e Self Portrait, the Columbia "Revenge" album when he left the label briefly...even Knocked Out Loaded and Down In The Groove had their moments...but this album is dire!!...I couldn't even bring myself to use the disc as a coaster. Horrible stuff!!!

Heather has been around for a good long time now and her style and approach really never changes to any great extent...but she still has one the most beautiful voices in the business. Her difficulty is that she is one in an overcrowded genre...the female singer/songwriter. While she can sing the pants off most of them, she perhaps lacks the cutting edge of the likes of Polly Harvey, Liz Phair, Beth Orton et al and is being outflanked by the great newcomers such as Laura Marling. That said, this is an album that will not dismay her faithful followers...and I just happen to be one of that breed...good on ya Heather!!
