2.0 out of 5 stars Hastly produced book with little value, 8 Jun. 2010
This book is of little value and definetly not worthy of the Bible series. Whole paragrafs were copied from one part of the book to the other, it has little instructional value - everything in this book is availible on online help. Besides, the author describes three other programs in detail (and again mulitplying the same text all over the book) - i.e. Flash CS5, Photoshop CS% and Illustrator CS5, as if anyone using Flash Catalyst CS5 doesn't know already, that one needs files from either PS of AI to make a desing, which is then carried out in FC and if necessary in Flash.

Wait for any other Flash Catalyst book, and skip this one...

5.0 out of 5 stars Africa + Kronos = marvel, 7 July 2009
This review is from: Pieces of Africa (Audio CD)
Kronos Quartet is famous for merging different musical notions with their style, the result in this african journey is just that - highly recommended for all old Kronos fans and those who are becoming ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent book on aerial warfare in Vietnam, 1 Jan. 2009
Very rare and thus especialy precius is this book, which gives the insight into North Vietnamese Air Force, its pilots and Air defence. Delightful to read, many personal accounts from "the other side". Excelent company to one of the best books about this theme from the US perspective - Clashes: Air Combat Over North Vietnam. Reader will be surprised to learn, that the NVAF never had more than 70 servicible airplanes at any time during all the Vietnam War, that Mig-17 was for a long time backbone of Air Force and how quickly NVAF developed from almost no aviation nation to such respectable air power. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent insight in Glenn Gould, 21 July 2007
If one doesn't know Mr. Gould's background, it would appear as if Glenn is just another eccentric pianist, playing his piano on way too short chair and disrupting the music with his mumbling. But reading interviews with him are more than revealing. One suddenly sees true genius who knows exactly what he is doing. Glenn Gould uses one of the most sophisticated and pleasant English I've ever come across. Just reading itself is pure pleasure. This book is actually just an interview for Rolling Stone magazine, but it is so well conducted and Glenn's playing with words and his exact answers are treat for mind. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best aviation books, 8 July 2007
This review is from: The Canadair Sabre (Hardcover)
If you have to buy just one Sabre book, it should be this one. Perfect mixture of pilots accounts and cold data will not only give the reader the insight in Sabre operations, but also into developing of NATO air forces in Europe. If only all aviation books would be like this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, 11 Sept. 2003
You will find many interesting details from development of MIG-21, including some versions previously pretty misterious to the West. If you are looking for good book about Mig-21, this is certanly one of them. You will not learn all about Mig-21, it rather serves as additional source of information. A very good one.
