5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT!, 24 Nov 2005

Excellent mid school death metal from sweeden, combining old school elements with occasional clean vocals and keyboard
(it works, trust me). Great guitar work, which sounds very similar to Malmsteen. You probably wont be able to get it on here soon, so head over to ebay and get this gem for under a fiver.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Death Metal, 8 Oct 2005

They now highly regarded as the forerunners in late 80's, early 90s technical death metal. Atheist are more than a death metal band though, blending jazz and interesting latin influences into their music, utterly unique. This is certainly the most death metal sounding of Athiests catalogue, with excellent musicianship from all members. Some progressions are slightly less obvious on this than on Unquestionable Presence, but you will need to own all three of Athiests albums to fully appreciate this truly amazing band.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, 8 Oct 2005

A lot of light has been placed on Unquestionable Presence(justly), but elements is equally progressive and articulate. Elements sees Atheist take a more progressive jazz route, with lyrics focusing more on our planet, and a less death metal approach is replaced with lighter but nontheless excellent metal one.
