David Copperfield (Penguin Classics)
David Copperfield (Penguin Classics)
by Charles Dickens
Edition: Audio CD

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story, great narration, 5 Jan. 2014
A great story from Charles Dickens and Nathaniel Parker's narration is wonderful. All the characters here have their own unique voicing's from Parker, from Cornish maids to upper class spinsters, unusual as he is mainly cast as lords and other members of nobility on television, he really has a knack for making storytelling interesting.

A well presented audio book, recommended for fans of Dickens :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Strange but interesting mixture from Krautrock legend, 6 Oct. 2013

I am a big fan of Cluster, the German Krautrock band consisting of Hans Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius and have many of Roedelius's solo works that are very soothing and easy to listen to. These guys are the god fathers of electronic music and I have downloaded the odd track or two of Moebius before that I thought were interesting to listen too. After listening to some previews I thought this may be a good choice for an album download. It's a strange mix, with some interesting uses of sound but at times it can sound jumbled and doesn't make for easy listening and teeters on the inaudible. Other tracks, however, are imaginative, creative and quite enjoyable. Dieter isn't big on pretty melodies, as part of Cluster he relied on Roedelius to supply these most of the time, so don't purchase this hoping for some thumping, catchy tunes. But, if you like rythem, with imaginative washes of sound on top then this is for you. I'm a big fan fan of experimental music, don't get me wrong but I feel that even the most die hard EM fans will be reaching for the stop button on some of these tracks. Nuff said :-/

4.0 out of 5 stars Only downloaded 'Kill Me', 4 stars for that, 28 Sept. 2013
This review is from: Night Café (MP3 Download)
I only downloaded 'Kill Me' and my four stars is for that, Night Cafe' is a good song but I have that on 'English Electric'. Not really interested that much in the Night Cafe' remixes. Kill Me is a beautiful haunting song that was sadly left of the English Electric, sacrilege really. It moves along the same lines as their classic and beautiful ballad 'Sealand'. Gorgeous!
