5.0 out of 5 stars To sum up in one word: WOW!!!!, 25 April 2003
What can i say? I played this game and was utterly riveted. The graphics are incredible for PSone and the sound blows you away.
And as for the gameplay... Tomb Raider has always been fun and addictive but this game took the series to a new level. New puzzles and more exploring rather than shooting not only return her to her TR1 heritage but add new exitement. This is the sequel TR2 and 3 never were.
The story is brilliant. Based on real myth and egyptian prophecy, it really fits in with the gameplay and is interesting and awesome. The FMVs are flawless and the movement of other characters in the game adds to the realism. Quite possibly the best plot i have ever played through, it is so good it could be made into a film.
The controls are easy to manage and work very well. I would recommend turning off analogue though. The game requires precision perfect jumps and fast moves. This precision only the digital arrows can offer.
All in all this incredible feat of gaming on the PSone is a must have for anyone. Its worth buying a PS just to get your paws on it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear!, 25 April 2003
This review is from: London Racer 2 (PSX) (Video Game)
London Racer 2 is a disappointing game due to many reasons:
1 The graphics are very flawed. When the PSX first came out they would have been considered good, but that was eight years ago now.
2 The tracks are surprisingly unrealistic. I was hoping that the tracks would bear some resemblance to London and the other cities in the game but all the landmarks are in the wrong place and the roads unrecognisable.
3 Mixing of realism and unrealism. The game tries to be 'real' but involves picking up floating 'health' 'turbo' and different colored floating '£'s. This is fun but much more remiscant of Kart Racers which London Racer 2 is not.
4 It is WAY too short. There are about 5 tracks played in both directions to make 10. This is an unacceptable length.
However it can be enjoyable but you've seen it all before. A game for die-hard racing fans only.

4.0 out of 5 stars Holidays not as fun as dating, 25 April 2003
The Sims On Holiday (known as Vacation in USA) is an interesting expansion pack for The Sims. Taking your sims on holiday is fun and rewarding and the new objects and interactions are impressive.
However it can be flawed in some areas. The object organiser when building holiday resorts is confusing and hard to navigate. Some things seem rather unrealistic such as Sims' refusal to even enter the sea though they happily dive into swimming pools.
Another flaw is that when on holiday it is actually very hard to get your sims to enjoy themselves. They can only eat from buffets or from foodstalls. A shame when you think of the possibilities if they could have a hotel restaurant like the restaurants in Hot Date.
So all in all, this is an exiting expansion pack, but not nearly as fun as Hot Date so buy that one first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Date - naff title, great expansion pack, 4 Nov. 2002
OK, its got a cheesey title but don't let that put you off. Sims now have great new ways of interacting. They can kiss in 6 different ways, Hug in 4, and entertain in 3. Its just great trying out all these new interactions. The new downtown area is great. You have an UNLIMITED BUDGET to build with and you can build shops, restaurants, beaches, and parks. You can sail boats across the pond or have a picnic in the park. You can eat in a posh restaurant where guys with guitars serenade you, or you can eat hotdogs outside. You can relax in thelovers bench or relax in the lovers hottub. The possibilities are endless. Hot Date is a brilliant expansionpack for the sims, and everyone must get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars PARTYING HAS NEVER BEEN SO FUN!!!!!, 4 Nov. 2002
House Party adds new gameplay to the Sims. New objects include dancefloors, dancecages, campfires and dressing-up boxes. Partying is great and if u throw a cool party Drew Carey might come. But if your party's bad the Mime or the Party Crashers might come. Its really great to see your sims dancing and having fun with all the other objects made for social interaction. This expansionpack is a must-buy for any sims owner.

4.0 out of 5 stars Livin It Up, 4 Nov. 2002
This game is your average expansion pack. It has everything you expect from it... but no more. This adds new objects, non-playable characters (such as death), new careers and new neighbourhoods but there is no new gameplay as in the later expansion packs. This is great if you're a sim-addict but the later expansion packs are more for you if you're not.
