This review is from: The Mechanic's Tale (Paperback)
A good book if your into Formula 1 as it gives the reader a feel of what its like behind the scenes. Matchett keeps you interested and entertained while writing about the stages he had to go through to become a grand prix mechanic to life in the pitlanes on a race weekend to day to day chores back at the factory. All in all a really good read :)

Bought this a couple of weeks ago with the intention of using it as an interval timer for timelapse photograhy and im really impressed for the price. Theres timers ranging from £20 - £150+ but being a beginner i just wanted something cheap but of reasonable quality.

The unit itself is a copy of nikons own interval timer but at a fraction of the cost. Its plastic and very light but once you put in the 2xAAA batterys its got a nice weight to it, something to note is that the batterys supplied were awful and lasted around an hour but ive had duracells in for the past two weeks and ive not had a problem (manual states 1 month battery life i think) so id use good batterys instead of the ones supplied. It works exactly how it should bearing in mind ive only skimmed hrough the other settings and been using it mainly for timelapse. The downside is that it doesnt have an off button so you have to remember to turn off the backlight and other settings (fairly straight forward when you read the relevant section in the manual).

I wouldnt be put off by the brand as alot of specialist camera shops also stock there products (however amazon is by far the cheapest). id definitely buy another if it were to go missing. Overall great value for money.
